I presume it changes the change up limit, so it changes up earlier in the rev range.
Only other thing I can think is it lowers throttle response but I would go for earlier changing.

According to the manual, it effects the state of the engine, gear changing, steering and air conditioning.

Separate button for climate ECO mode, so it must be something to do with the drive.

I can't coast in N (Neutral) can I? So all I can do is avoid sharp breaking and accelerating.

Right...the car stuffhysics is beyond me, but I saw an interesting short thing on BBC world about phones and why Androids might be or susceptible to being hacked/security risks for users than /...for example....iPhone. Also why tablets and phones will be increasingy targeted. I don't know of BBC world use iPlayer, but would be interesting and on topic discussion for the board. Some of you seem to know lots about it. Now my phone won't even turn on I was thinking about a clever phone...e.g. to keep in touch while I'm away (email much easy with clients). As I rarely leave and after this time want to leave even less it might be overkill though.

After feeling dissatisfied with the three books I took I think maybe misskool is right and I should consider a kindle at least for travelling. Not sure how I feel about that. I need to try one, see if I can stand it as a partial contribution to my ''library''.

I use an android phone, the good news is you can get free anti virus or complete internet security packs (chargeable) and they are great for mobile connecting to email etc. Also there are hundreds of android free apps.
My only gripe is when you use an AV and a email client program (I get google mail to do my email as it seems to hate pop accounts) your battery life gets battered.
So much so I think after a couple of months it has duffed my battery, it could be just a duff battery, but the quest for total intergration means you were not as "mobile" as you were as you constantly need a power outlet (if out for 24-48 hours)

That is actually part of the reason the BBC world interviewee was saying they were more vulnerable. That and that long term that will mean ty have the biggest user base. He compared the Android technology to the Windows one...it will be the ''Hoover'' of smart phones......and thus have the argest base of users for criminals to go after...and the easiest way to get them..through free, unlicenced (???unlike I phone they don't have to be, is that right?) apps.

I only have experience of a geartronic and that would not let you. It would never let you downshift below a certain range.
There is little you can do on an auto to improve the MPG other than what you have said.

Well I know on my one you can set it so it only allows verified apps. Also in android marketplace it tells you what info the apps use so you can decided to download or not but in the market place they should all be safe.
It is like having a mini PC, just apply the same logic (only download from known sources, watch ware you surf and use an AV) and you should be fine.
As seen over the last few days with sony anything can be a target for malicious programs and programmers.
But your right popularity will be the driver of malicious programs, but it is no more at risk than a PC IMHO.

Don't be disappointed, driving style will account for the vast majority of any fuel saving you manage. Coasting, turning off AC, travelling without an extra couple of kilos weight (the car, not you.... although.... ;)) etc, is just tinkering round the edges compared to the savings made from driving style.

    Oh noes!
    I hope she's OK.
We''ll all be thinking of her, of course.

    Exactly.

Even if all we can do is wish well and let Inspector Monkfish get some small comfort from knowing people do wish her...his whole faily well...its better than nothing. If he can smile knowing some people who have never met them care its a smile he can carry back to her.

And at the risk of sounding like Kenneth Williams, I've got maggots in my moolis..... I wondered if carrot fly would go for other stuff that's carrot-shaped, and the answer is an emphatic "Yes!"

Maybe you are onto something after all LJ, putting onions with your carrots.;)
I seem to recall reading somewhere that carrotfly don't like the smell of onions - the strength of the smell puts them off. Can't remember where I'm afraid.:o So I've sown alternate rows of carrots/onions.

I'll let you know how successful it is, if anything grows...
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.
