Is it a PE/KE question with KE being proportional to the square of the speed? (With reference to E=MC2, this is of course ignoring the relativistic higher order terms.)I think....0

Well done michaels. :T
And, very tidily, 30^2 + 40^2 = 50^2.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

I'm beginning to regret asking about this freewheeling thing!0 -
First rule of exams. You stop revising the night before, at 6pm. You do not revise on the day of the exam. It is important to be as fresh as possible when you enter the exam.
Now you see, that has never worked for me....my brain works differently to most others. During my O levels, I kind of worked out I needed a last day burst of info to settle my brain and stop the information tumbling around.
I did the same today after posting and it worked, my brain was much more settled...so settled that I filled the entire work book with writing, all 16 A4 pages!
Fingers crossed I have passed now but I still feel I am doing the wrong course.....I want to get into the minds of criminals, not know the workings behind law and as the courses go on, this fact becomes more apparent to me, so there may well be a change of direction in order. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Ok, maybe my brain isn't so bright today....that question read like gobblygook to me!
Middle son would have got it though....and youngest too!
Re reading matter - well now I have a break in courses, I am going to indulge in some books I received for Christmas and birthday and of course, my crime magazines...I really can't wait!We made it! Cram until the last possible minute here and pray every scrap of information hangs on until you put pen to paper.
then again, i hate exams too. But mostly because I'm lazy.0 -

I don't agree with what he did, I don't like what he represents but what I really hate right now is the fact that people are celebrating that someone has been killed0 -
Lots of my Facebook friends are quoting Martin Luther King on this one:
The ultimate weakness of violence: it is a descending spiral, begetting the very thing it seeks to destroy...I mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives, but I will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy. Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to (the) night ..Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? I was going gently down hill, approaching a queue of traffic that had stopped at a red light. My choice was (a) take it out of gear and reach the queue, or (b) leave it in gear and therefore slow down and have to put my foot back on the accelerator to avoid stopping several car-lengths short of the back of the queue.
C) Use a higher gear down the gentle hill so you don't have to use the gas again
Going down a hill and your engine causing breaking to stop would indicate you are in too low a gear which is causing engine breaking.
The difference in your situation would be very small though.0
