That's moneysaving gone wrong. I was on the verge of tipping over to that side with Boots advantage points and glitches about six years ago when I joined and needed an awful lot of nappies, until I realised you can never spend the points if you're constantly using glitches to gain them.

Is that really what moneysaving is about? I think I've adpoted an ethos now where I hate paying full price for anything and will always shop around. But that truly is mental. Who keeps cereal in their loft?!?!

Somebody's had it away with £5,000 of Mr T stuff: http://i1185.photobucket.com/albums/z356/tescodtd/IMG_1616.jpg

    MENTAL!!!

Hope that food up there doesn't attract squirrels.

That unprotected box of Shredded Wheat doesn't stand a chance. Remember Dopester's thread where he kept it all in secure boxes and critters got in there anyway?

I don't know how you can stockpile that much stuff and expect to get to it while its in date. I sorted my cupboards out last week and still managed to find stuff that's been out of date for a year. If I left it in my loft I'd be unburying boxes of Spangles and bottles of Cresta.

DW is quite upset that we got in to this only 10 days ago and we have almost exhausted our stash (were due another trip today). However with the building work including a new roof and garage we have no storage space anyway.

Viva: I just know you are gorgeous. In every thing you write you are balanced and intelligent and considerate...to the lengths I believe it must show somewhere on the outside. :) edit: come to think of it, I feel exactly the same about Lydia.

I just need to tell you again lir that I love you:o. How do you make a kiss in netspeak? Is it mwah? Or is that a sinister laugh?

I often judge how old people are by the age of their kids, which can be very misleading.
    Like Hawaii .... five oh.

I'm young then, having no kids. :)

sheesh, dates aren't Oldstyle. I don't bother with dates for much stuff. I have a rule I cal the ''pyramid rule''. If its grains with nowt added it could grow when planted if found in a pot in a pyramid. Now, my cupboards aren't ideal storage conditions, but then, I expect them t last only a few years, not millenia! For anything else I have a freezer.

I'm sure the Herts and NW London lot probably pass in the street sometimes.

If you'd bagged £5000's worth, it'd have been worthwhile paying for some storage until the work were done. There are rules for self-storage about "no food", as it'd attract rats.... but some stuff'd have been OK. Rest you could have boxed up and asked relatives to hold onto for a few months for you (no need to tell them what's in it).
