I use fancy widget on the home screen for a clock and weather

I don't put myself on latitude - letting people track you just doesn't seem right. I wonder how long until they try to prosecute people for speeding based on their mobile phone tracks?
    I think....

Could it be too windy to plant out big plants? I bought those two Lonicera's they were about 2 foot high with 3 twisted stems each and planted them out. I really gently untwisted the stems and tied them carefully around the posts of my arch. Exactly as instructed with compost around the base of the whole. I've watered them twice a day. They don't look happy - their leaves are fading :(
Are they not happy in the wind?

Loniceras are usually as tough as old boots, but it's likely that just prior to purchase, yours were living it up in some polytunnel instead of the great outdoors, so they may be 'soft.'

They may well sulk, even throw off a few leaves, but I doubt if they'll die. It's not in their interests to do that. :)

Now if you'd gone to a proper nursery....:p

Yes, mine were living it up in Morrisons!

At a fiver each when I'd seen similar (if leafier) in Costco for £23 each, I decided I couldn't go wrong.

    Time will tell.

All my supposedly hardy Fuschias from last year have failed :(

3 year old cherry tree has flowered for the first time, so that's good. The pear tree is doing well and the apple tree is in flower. Strange green berry one is looking good too.

Costco doesn't sound like a nursery either!

By way of light relief, here are my three latest Estate Agent Bloopers:

PANTRY 3.07m(10'1'') x 2.03m(6'8'')Stale worksurface and tiled floor.

A four bedroomed detached family cottage having uninterpreted rolling countryside views to the rear

We believe that the site has historical connections with the Cistercian Monks of Strata Florida (nearby) and include an unusual stone built former grain kiln which maybe suitable for conversation.

LJ, one of the things I absolutely dreamt of was having an apple tree.

I have a largeish garden so the first year I was here I bought a baby apple tree in Woolworths. I dug a hole bunged it in and spent two years singing "dont sit under the apple tree.." as I mowed around it.

I get a brilliant crop of apples every year and the blossom is beautiful.

Unfortunately I didn't dig a deep enough hole for the roots so the tree is growing almost parallel to the bliddy ground and its entire root ball is exposed to the elements.

Strangely enough it is thriving and I strongly suspect digging it up and replanting would likely kill it.

It has to be the weirdist looking apple tree in the country......

In the garden where I grew up we had about 3-4 apple trees and a plum tree and a greengage tree (I think). Each morning I'd go down and pick 3-4 apples for my school bag.

Here we've got a treet that's bizarre, it looks dead - and all day long ants crawl up and down the trunk ... but then flowers and makes apples. Last year we were completely inundated with them. All the neighbours got a carrier bag full and nobody could stand any more apples. This year there was a lot of blossom, which has now almost all fallen off, so have to see. It makes big apples :)
