In our first flat, we had a pretty weird set of friends who gave us moving in presents...all were very handy though!
One friend gave us a sofa, blooming great long thing it was, about 8ft or something and he brought it around on the roof of his mini (from our flat, all we could see was the sofa and none of the car beneath).
Another one brought around a 6 pack of beer...and then proceeded to drink it all (amazing to think he is a non drinker now)
My soon to be but now ex and late grandmother (husband's gran) gave us a microwave and bed.
My soon to be but now ex mother in law, gave us a whatnot, which is still in my bedroom to this day, it was an antique when she gave it to us 24 years ago.
My parents gave us a card, some flowers and vouchers to get our first shopping....told you I come from a practical thinking family! We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Maybe moving in presents are a "couples" thing. Moving in presents, engagement presents, wedding presents.... you've never had it so good.
Anybody had a "got divorced present"?0 -

hmm....wedding presents we had a less good haul on. My parents covered some sofas I already owned in fabric we chose as a couple, we got a set of Ingmar Bergman dvds (which dh hates and refuses to watch) and a blanket from my godmother. OH, and a beautiful little bowl my sister gave me. which is precious. My relationship with her is v. strained, and I know sh had no money at the time and gave me something beautiful of her own. Truly a gift.0 -

Nope! Not even a happy divorce card.....although maybe that was because people knew I was not exactly overjoyed to be divorced. We made it! Nice!!
IM< don't get upset, just PM MSE Andrea calmly and explain, and also abuse. I'm sure it will be reinstated once its made clear you had got approval!0 -
That's not fair. I hope you can persuade them to let you put it straight back in. Have you still got the email or whatever where they agreed last time??Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
Just found this on Youtube MrMonkie .... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3SrGZaKXS3w0

Absolutely beautiful. Thought I'd mention it because there are so many dance lovers on here. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
