My big dog's four. Give me about 2 years she'll probably do.
Is that all? 6 years and it's over?
I assumed all dogs lasted about 12-16 years.

Average lifespan for the breed is 6-8 years. It becomes less and less uncommon for them to go at 5, we used to think 8 was poor showing, and most of ours years ago lived well over that. This one has already had illness as a pup, which is why she came here and didn't go to be show or breeding stock. My guess, following her line back...I know it well, she'll get bone cancer well before 8. Six seems ''good''. which is a reason despite loving the breed I won't buy one myself an why dog dog is not one of them. We had one who lived to double the average age span and was for a while, the record oldest. :)

    black country

<pedant alert> It is not necessarily the case that Wolverhampton is in the Black Country. Many scholars disagree on the definition of Black Country.

MrBE is definitely Black Country though.

MrBE is a very funny man. I managed to keep the online me to a serene response. In all honesty, I laughed as soon as I saw the thread. & all the way through until I just logged in. I mean, was his first thought when he dug up what appears to be human remains to go into the house, get his camera, take a pic, put it on some interweb forum & ask peeps what to do? Really? COME ON!:D

Then update the thread with what police are telling him...?

I've been censusing all day. I'm not sure whether I'll stay the course. Nikkster, if you're about, what is your co-ordinator like? Mine is a complete tool. Unprofessional, disorganised, and the part that really concerns me, at best, liberal with the truth. Also, clearly doesn't listen to people. Complete muppet.

Really liked the wandering about in the sun though! Can't wait until the wonga starts rolling in - perhaps that'll make it more bearable!:)

I'm going to do some reading this evening. I've had a really enjoyable book slowly burning away that I want to read more of.

I also absolutely must get some seeds planted - I have onions, beetroot, peas & beans to get planted & it might be too late soon!
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

:rotfl::rotfl:OMG if I had salad from our lawn we'd be ill for days....is moss laced with foxy wee poisonous?

I logged and missed the drama of A Skeleton with skin being dug up in a garden? Then turns out is was a wind up.:rotfl:

I did like the house board one on the 90 yr old you wouldn't move out though.

Yum to Micheal S's bathroom.......Doozer....when we , one day a long time away...have the spare ££££..pleae come and sort mine out Kevin Mcleod stylee. It's now at the point where we almost have to start all over again. :o

And PN, I will log on later about bulk buying trim/findings etc...it's a no brainer if you have the £££ as the reatail mark up is about X 8 on this type of stuff. I have a few haberdashery links too which may be useful.:)

Its been a lovely weekend to wander around :) Been quite lucky so far - only been drizzled on once, the rest of the time its been nice and dry :)

Edit: Sent you a pm about coordinator, hope you don't mind.

Think you'll find that being paid weekly keeps the motivation levels up - its only a few weeks to get through. Thats what I keep telling myself anyway!

How have you found people? I've actually been pleasantly suprised, the very vast majority of people have been lovely :o

I thought of you two on Friday. When I was in the car hire place, a census person came in to ask if there was any residential accommodation on the premises, but the car hire bloke said no, so she went away. I guess that was a quick and easy tick of a box on her list.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)

It's not haberdashery stuff I'm looking at... it's metally stuff and engineering tools that I want to import. Having said that, things can change.... once I get "my space" and start spreading stuff around I'll get caught with ideas no doubt.

What a lovely day! I've been to my brother's today and met Arabella, Lulu and Harriet (his new rescue chooks). They have a lovely new house, one of these:

Which I think people have mentioned on here before. Thank you Mr E. Bay, way cheaper than retail.
