Oh no, what were you doing in your new car? Speeding?
I love the garden but it does feel a bit high pressured ATM...this spring window, so important. Wish we'd not chosen silly themes now....means keeping lots of bits clear instead of taming one bit at a time. Should have just kept expanding the nursery beds really.0 -

nope, it's from overparking at a lidl car park apparently. MSE says I should ignore but I'm almost giving in0 -
misskool and PN with parking fines. What is this thread coming to?
A lidl near me will cancel parking fines if you send in a receipt to show you shopped there on the day in question.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I have three mock orage blossoms and was going to turf one out but notice today a teeny tiny bud ....couple of weeks after the others are greening up. The sticky bud have started to burst open...not properly, just splitting their sticky cocoon. I love those trees. And the apples have enthusiastically burst into green bud,but only just. The willow opposite my sitting room window, and all its neighbours, are resoundingly BROWN. The one down the road is almost in full leaf already. Don't despair yet.
These ones:silvercar_on_6.06.10 wrote:I had ordered what I thought was a great freebie, Times subscription offer of 6 free fuschias, just pay a fiver postage. I expected pots to arrive. What arrived were mini pots, an inch in diameter, a few leaves on little stalks. With instructions for potting up, re-potting, taking in and out........yawn.
So I just planted them, with lots of compost, fushia food and put plastic bottles over the top. Probably breaking all the rules, but they were meant to be hardy, as opposed to grow into hardys. Good news for people with melanoma: a drug used for rheumatoid arthritis has been shown to inhibit its development. It could be on the market in as short as five years:

Skin cancer is very prevalent in my family, including melanoma. One of my cousins was diagnosed with mel on his 21st birthday (though thank God he's still here in his forties) and another relative died from it, so this is very good news for us.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

I've not done a thing. Got it in the drawer here, hidden away.... it's been 10 days so far, heard nothing yet.
Going to sit it out as everybody says ignore them and eventually the begging letters from them stop.0 -
Fuchsias can come back from underground, once established. Our standard here is knackered, but I still expect it to turn into a bush. Mind you, by now the other bush forms are showing signs of life.
Last time I went into the Lidl car park in Okehampton, I was in the 3.5 tonne van, and it wouldn't fit on any of the titchy spaces. The attendant made me park on some of their double yellow lines instead.
Oh, and I had two fines from Sainsburys, both of which I got them to cancel, though I had to do some specialist ranting with various grey suits at customer services first. Had I known that I could just ignore them, I'd have looked after my blood pressure better than that.0 -

Any theories about why? Do you think it's lifestyle (eg you spend a lot of time out of doors) or perhaps a genetic predisposition? No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
