ETA: Grounds for Divorce is fantastic live and loud!
You youngsters, you! They had Beethoven's Eroica Symphony on Radio 3 this afternoon. Very nice to listen to in the background whilst I read part of a client's file.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Young at heart only I'm afraid! Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Thanks vivatifosi! At the moment I'm more apprehensive than anything else, but I'm sure it'll be fine when I get into it... hope so anyway!0

Been absent for a few days from this thread....
Was away at the weekend at my parent's caravan as it was the start of season party, much fun had, great entertainment and all it cost me was the fuel for my car as dad treated us to lunch when we arrived, we had a free buffet at the party and a free brunch the following morning....even had free drink!
I have been notified that my exam I have coming up for my OU course has been accepted as a home exam due to the difficulties I encountered in my October exam...huge relief to be honest as then I will have a suitable seat to sit in, be able to take breaks and no hassle with driving and being worried about the distance between the car parking and the exam hall....my mobility is really quite impaired now (still won't apply for a blue badge or DLA though, I still haven't quite got that far with acceptance).
Have a transition meeting next Monday for middle son (year 9)...any of you know what that entails? I know connexions will be there but apart from that, not a scoobie. It was not something we had for eldest.
Talking of middle son, he picked up his guitar today, he had had it put to one side and had been paying it off weekly from his pocket money (total cost was only £39.99 secondhand)....so now he has a guitar, a keyboard and a drum kit!
Hope everyone else is ok?We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Starting collecting - I didn't think we were supposed to fill it in until the 27th?
I have my interview for interviewer role later this week, not really doing it for the money (f all after tax) but because I am really interested in meeting people and seeing what they think about the whole thing. I always think it is so easy to live in one's bubble, interacting with similar people (and yes that does include nice people) and not really know what the 'real' world is like for other groups - one of the reasons I am so anti private school is I think that one of the draws is that it makes sure that little Tarquin and Chloe only get to meet other Tarquins and Chloes and are 'taught' that their ilk are better than the 'unwashed masses'.Lemonjelly - how did you find the training yesterday?!

I'm sure that there are private schools like that, but there are a hell of a lot that aren't. Maybe you should visit some and dispel the myth? Most private schools offer decent bursaries with a genuine intention to give places to the clever kids who couldn't otherwise afford to attend.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I think that one of the draws is that it makes sure that little Tarquin and Chloe only get to meet other Tarquins and Chloes and are 'taught' that their ilk are better than the 'unwashed masses'.
It gets very confusing hereabouts because the unwashed masses are called Chloe too. However their name is pronounced "CHLOE" and is normally followed by something along the lines of "GET OVER HERE NOW AND BRING ME FAGS".Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
