Turned out to be an eventful night in the end....eldest ended up at the hospital!
He slipped on a stile type thing over a field on the way home from his babysitting job, tried to ring me but I had left my mobile upstairs and I was downstairs and somehow he forgot we have a home phone he could have rung, so managed to struggle the rest of the way home.
I did try to take him to our local cottage hospital but they had closed for the night (we're not allowed to get ill after 9 at night), so it had to be the big hospital 20 minutes by car up the road...well 20 minutes when the roads are quiet and you can put your foot down.
Parents had the other two luckily as they would have been mightily bored and probably very annoying to others if they had come with us but goodness knows what I am going to do about school, we have only just got home and they will be shattered in the morning for normal get up time.
Funny moment at the hospital, I had already warned the doctor that eldest dislocates his hips at the slightest thing but don't think he really believed how easily they do dislocate....until whilst examining eldest's ankle and moving it around, his hip dislocated. The poor doctor didn't quite know what to do with himself, he felt absolutely awful creating a dislocation but was put at ease when eldest was easily able to get it back in again.
The ankle is ok, soft tissue injury, complete rest for a few days and a warning that it could take longer to heal than normal because of his EDS.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
You lot do have interesting lives.
Yesterday I got up, went out, worked with the plants all day, came in, hoovered, made a fire, cooked supper and went to bed, where I dreamed about fish.
Here, because we're a bit out of the loop, they send in the air ambulance if you're really poorly. It's a bit like being visited by the fourth horseman of the apocalypse.0 -

Yes. They said they would likely start to deteriorate in the way someone with normal eyesight does as they get into middle age, but I'm not there yet!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

That's what my optician said. Besides that, as you get more middle-aged you need glasses to read anyway, even if the laser corrects distance vision completely. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
What a terrible thing to impinge on what should be an entirely happy and carefree time. Shall we set up a facebook group and may be do some placards and go and demonstrate?
I wish there was something I could do to help but I don't have any legal contacts with suitable expertisevivatifosi wrote: »Not going to quote your post missk but good luck sorting things out.I think....0 -
Going to see a potential place, looking on Streetview it's not in the most saloubrious of places... high potential to be uber-muddy as it's not on a road.... but I'll see when I get there. It's either a hell hole, or actually "a terribly posh little retreat space". Price says "tad dodgy", location says "ooh er missus", address says "might be a ladies who lunch experience".0

No idea about immigration lawyers, have you phoned up citizens advice? They should be able to help you.
To be frank, now you are married, if they try to keep you out for going on honey moon that is insane... human rights act lawsuit here we come.
I am glad pasturesnew is looking for a new home, I hope it work out for you.
I am also feeling better today, so went out and did some gardening... 45 minutes of weeding and I was so cold I had to go in. And start a new gardening blog. Not exactly got very far yet, basic theme, first post... ech... try to add around 750 words a day, I think, and send a few back links every day.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”
