Don't: Build a big supermarket with a small car park and position it on a crowded service road next to a major dual carriageway roundabout.
Chaos. The queue to get into the car park snarled up the roundabout, blocking the access to the A1. Couldn't move in or out. They had two kids on car park duty who were just telling people that all the tills were open but parking was taking upto 5 minutes.
10 minutes after circling the car park I gave up and tried to leave, but the exit was blocked. Then I managed to get a space. Actually quite impressed with the store, specials seem very cheap and general groceries well priced. Not much fresh veg and a few essentials missing. Cafe is OK, but not up to costa standards. Offering a free kids meal with every adult after 4pm so clearly trying to get the mums in later in the day.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. This is what I find too. Fruit and veg..maybe i was harsh earlier. Prosaic choice though.
Morrisons do really well price skinless/boneless sardines. An odd thing for some, but I really prefer them boneless and gets harder and harder to find.0 -
The kids are taking the mickey out of me as I have no voice...at all! I still feel like poo, have been in bed since the school run, thankfully eldest didn't have to go to his baby sitting job tonight so he has been looking after the boys.
Have had to drag myself out though as they need their dinner...and with that, I don't quite think eldest could cope with as the other two are so awkward with how they want things. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

I thought you meant go to a supermarket and get some noodles in the noodle aisle.
Look at the size of this one in Manchester.

Try "One Day" by David Nicholls.
Loved it.lostinrates wrote: »I liked it I think but can't remember it now.
David Nicholls fans, has anyone read "Starter for Ten"? That's his book that I'm fancying at the moment. Would really appreciate a review if anyone's read it.
Have also been mooting The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Attwood as I like the occasional dystopian tome.
Wageslave, if you're around, that's not your book being released in a couple of months is it? I've read the buzz....Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

I'd rather throttle my children than eat with them after a supermarket shop, I don't care if it's freeEverything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Yes, that looks amazing, Doozer, and all the more so when compared with the "before" picture of the empty shell.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0
