I'm not sure this is a nice people question, but does anyone else ignore any threads started by a poster who only has upper case letters in their name?

Not exactly. I do try to read threads that may be interesting, or sometimes (getting rarer) be funny. Inspector Monkfish's threads do give me a giggle.

There are posters who I am reluctant to read though, and the baiting/goading & also the selective arguing/responding annoys me, as does the constant claims of "I've proved the rampers/crashers wrong"

I don't have anyone on ignore, but certain names do make me rolleyes.

Missk I missed it. Did it reference the work of Klawans or Oliver Sacks? We have a thing in tifositowers about their works. DH loves them.

Interested in Oliver Sacks. Have his Uncle Tungsten book to read. I do find some of his books a little dry, but am keen to read Uncle Tungsten as it is autobiographical.

The new fake news series for me. I've been looking forward to it for ages.

Can I ask for a review of this from anyone?

No, it might have been earlier, just discovered it's part of a series.

misskool are you on about the history of the study of the mind? BBC4 has repeated it a few times - it was first advertised a few weeks ago. I'd suggest having a look on bbc4's website as it did have a section. They usually tell you when it is on next.

What does it say? I have no speakers.

If anybody's reading this and wants to give me a million .... I can assure you it'll go to a good home and I'll write a will so it all goes back to your estate after my demise..... and there'll be most of it, but it'd be nice to have the lifetime security that much could bring :)

Essentially, the chap did a youtube video and asked a lot of millionaires to give him a million dollars, for no particular reason.

Isn't the Internet funny... well, I am always surprised and confounded when people seem to be running a successful business and yet fail to appear whatsoever in any search results. I'm known among friends as "Queen of Google" for my ability to dig out information - yet I have spent 60 solid hours googling the hell out of my latest subject, building the world's biggest resource list that I can dip into.... and suddenly, at 3am, I discovered that not only is there a shop I'd have been interested to know about just 35 miles away, but they also have an entire warehouse just 28 miles away and two further shops - one of which I have been within 200 yards of since I took up my new interest .... and they have managed to build a mini empire of a warehouse and 3 shops in total, quite close to me, without appearing in Google or Yahoo or Bing once in any of my searches. And when I've searched and found 20-30 pages of results for every search term I was seeking, I religiously went through every returned website for my list. These people do not exist online in search engine terms. I am staggered.

I can feel a shop/warehouse trip coming on .... perchance to purchase some shiny things.

You see, I see these crazy ideas that work out and I think "I'd never have the front to do that". There must be a reason, some twist, why he got it.

There are loads of us, daily, requesting a million.

*** PLEASE GIVE ME A MILLION POUNDS SO I CAN HAVE A LOVELY, NICE PEOPLE LIFE. PLZ THX ****

And usually it doesn't happen. So, where am I going wrong?

Maybe I'm too lovely and everybody assumes somebody else must be sending the cash to me. Top tip: No, they're not, so feel free to send me a million.

    Thanking you in anticipation.

    Regards

Lovely person who just needs a spot of a cash security blanket.

I'd look after cats and bake cakes and everything!!

    Maybe they're Ninja's!!!

A secret Ninja based company, secretly making money and building a business quietly. Must be M4f14 backed, it's fronting something big.

    (M4fi4 is a banned word).

There are a huge number of companies that have no web presence... if you are a local business, or own shops... there are still a million ways to sell goods offline. A lot of businesses don't have any internet budget at all...
