I just need to pop by and start a Gen appreciation section. My elderly uncle is in Qld in one of the flood areas. I mentioned to Gen and he's started a whole thread with updates on. So if anyone wants to stop by and do some gratuitous thanking, I would really appreciate it. It's a shame he's done all that and he only gets thanks from me...
That Gen's a good all round bloke.... thing is, we never say it.

    I'll go thank him.

I was following the fires in Melbourne the other year. Fascinating and compulsive viewing information was available online. I had a live/interactive map I could load that showed me exactly where each of the many fires were and how big. I also had streaming local Aus radio, with phone ins and updates.

There's probably something similar, especially the map, for flooding.

See, you were the star then Pastures. The fires map helped me follow my family in Melbourne. You're brilliant you lot. I don't know where I'd be without you. My cousin lost one of his mates in the Melbourne fires. He was a volunteer firefighter.

You'll be pleased to hear that my aussie rels are only in Qld and Melbourne so any other disasters and I don't need to worry:o, unless anything happened to Sydney, then we'd ALL be worrying about Gen.

Whoever has time for a coffee and sit down in the morning??? Those 10-15 minutes fannying about could get you 20-30 minutes ahead of the traffic jams!

I generally have coffee and a sit down after work, at about 9 am atm. I like to then have a bath, get dressed properly and put some makeup on.

I wish eyelash extensions were cheaper....because that would resolve much of my make up wearing I think. I'd LOVE to have them...but put off by money and the thing that its best to wear less eyeline with them AND that I'd have to buy eye make up remover instead of using oil.

Maybe your mornings aren't the same as the mornings I've always experienced when going to work.

Get up at Godawful O'Clock, hear the rain hammering at the window, it's still dark, shower/drag clothes on, get out the door, get soaked getting to the car, try to wake up on the long drive to work. Get out of the car and run into the building, arrive dripping wet just as dawn's breaking.

Ah, but you see Pastures, I don't shower in the mornings, so I save that morning time for my more restful coffee and make-up. :)

Good for you lir, I'm relieved I'm not the only female who feels the need to spend a little time preening themselves.

I just whip it all off in one go before I go to bed, with a couple of Tesco's make up wipes! Really no hassle.

Second 'good for you'. Lovely to have taken in a semi-wild cat, which it seems your regular moggys have accepted?

My late puss was feral and a gorgeous loving and devoted member of the family he became. However, he was an absolute curse to the local birdlife, mice and rats in the area.

Blimey. I don't know how many of you are still up but I can't believe how quickly all that troll's posts got deleted in the middle of the night. Impressive.... Kudos the the MSE towers night shift.
