It's done nothing but rain non-stop here for at least the last 3 days. It's raining still/now.

I wonder why there was never any "Big Thaw" or "Big Floods" after the snow some people had last month.

You must have similar to me, but a bit more coastal. We had a decent day yesterday and this afternoon was OK. :)

    Peeing down now.

The thaw brought rivers up here, but not excessively. I could hear our stream from the yard, whch is how I judge a decent amount of run-off, but snow has a lot of air in it, so the overall effect wasn't severe.

I get hammered and start typing angry rubbish on MSE, go to sleep at 4am and wake up at 12pm again after everyone's already had a chance to see what I wrote. Pointless deleting posts by then.

I got !!!!!! on New Year and spent much of the night chatting with someone I'd not met before. It would be good if I could delete the last hour of that. I can't remember much, but what I do recall makes me worried about the rest!:o

It's that feeling... when you wake up, stretch blissfully and then a creeping feeling of horror comes over you as you start to remember the alcohol fuelled things you said. I know all about it. ;)

My husband never has that. He has to be told what he did and then invariably doesn't believe me!

I should have known when the day I met him it was about 9pm on a Monday night and he was dancing on a table with his trousers around his ankles. Pants on before anyone asks!

The dark days and nights can't be helping? Do you get adaquate exposure to daylight? I sometimes find going for a daytime stroll helps stop my sleep pattern goes haywire. Maybe mention to DH that a holiday is needed? :)

Yes I'm usually outside to see sunrise....and in and out all day....doing farm owner type things ;). But yesterday and today seem dark daytimes too...you're right it doesn't help!

And DH was too kind while he was home did lots of the mornings so I could sleep...which meant I got right out of the habit of napping when I need to which meant later to bed.....which was ok because DH was up in the mornings.....only he's not now!

Doozer I'm not drinking ATM but otherwise it would be a good plan. Also, when DH is home at the weekend I'll smile and ask him to do the lates one night. If I can get a really early night (I'm reallysleepy by a bout 5-6:30) I'll be up crazy early next day and then be more tired at the right time and ess sleepwalky in the morning.

e.g. this morning I've come in for a cup of coffee because I'm too tired to do all the morning stuff in one hit, and its taking ages when I reckon on a good morning I could have got it done in two hours.

Anybody watch Derren Browns Enigma last night?

For those who missed it, it will be repeated saturday, in a derren brown night they are doing on channel 4 on saturday. There are always suprises with his shows. I've seen each tour he's done (I already have tickets for his tour this may).

I loved it - there are 2 great twists at the end!

The only downside is a 3 hour show is edited down to 1.5 hours, which does detract a little (though the full length dvd will be out soon).

On the sleeping stuff, I have always struggled to get to sleep (as a child, my mum always said I was nocturnal). When I am off from work, my sleep pattern becomes shocking & my first week back is always a real struggle!

However, I also have the problem of getting up in the morning. I have always struggled to get myself up!

Thanks lj. We love Derren Brown and have seen him live. I went along thinking, 'Ah, well he's believable on tv, with all the camera skills that can help his showmanship, but I'll spot the chinks in a live show! No such possibility. We were amazed and gripped throughout. He really is incredible!

We watch everything we can on tv and DH probably already has it lined up for Saturday.

We're probably due for another live show too. Depends where he's visiting but the last one we saw was an absolutely brilliant evening. :T

    Treliac, tour dates for 2011:
    http://derrenbrown.co.uk/tour-dates/svengali/

    New tour is called svengali.

The first tour he did I met him in the street afterwards, & found him to be an extremely pleasant and approachable person. Absolutely not up himself or anything. He also came across very very well in his Confessions of a Conjouror (sp) book which I enjoyed.

I've seen all his tours thus far!

Your OH may be interested in watching channel 5 (i know, i know...) next tuesday & wednesday from 8pm-9pm
