If it helps, many people have said I speak "posh". I don't think I do. Somebody else met me (from the net) and was asked what I sound like and she said "a posh sex chat line".

Pastures, I've PM'd you my tel number.;)
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

I do find that motivation for preparing food when you're alone is difficult, & it is easy to talk yourself out of making a nice, or even "extravagant" meal.

I enjoy cooking - even basic meals. A big part of the pleasure I get is seeing other people I have prepared food for enjoying it.

The effort to do that for a single meal can be demotivating, but I believe it is important to overcome this, else we start to see food as simply fuel, which it isn't/shouldn't be.

I love feeding people too. :) I like cooking just for me too....but I eat quite basically through the week. My dad bought me the size souflee dish I've been wanting, just enough for a one person main meal. I also eat stuff alone I wouldn't expect dh to want.

hen alone, I procrastinate too much, & find it difficult to settle on what to cook, usually choosing the easiest option - not always a case of what I want, but more what will do. That said, sometimes I'll experiment with stuff, which means that I can appear a little extravagant (wierd) when cooking for others.

I do think that in many ways cooking/eating is a social thing.

I also try really hard to limit myself with takeaways, which I am pretty good at to be honest, with only occasional lapses.:o

I meal plan to avoid dithering. Although I've got a bit slack, and left alone I eat pretty much the same stuff with a few seasonal changes because it makes it easier to keep track and calculate..which I have to do. :( .

I was planning to join th library this morning. But its raining and I feel blah. I still want to and was looking at parking options on line when I discovered I can join online. So I did that. I'm not going to reserve books though at 75 p each.

We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Because one night I couldn't remember what to call it and said "Oh the bliddy oobree doofree thingywhatsit to change the channel over"

Henceforth, it has been called the oobree doofree or when in a rush, the doofree.

In our house it's the 'zapper.' I think that's pretty standard.
