Hiya, have either of you tried exchanging in store and, if so, how did it go?

My order arrived today and is gorgeous, but one plate from a set of four is broken - was thinking about trying to have it replaced instore, but noticed on the delivery note that it asks to dispose of any broken glass before returning goods. I'm not sure how you're supposed to return a broken plate without the actual broken bits unless you're a mime artist. :rotfl:

I exchanged my wine gum mug today. it was smashed to pieces. i left all the glass in the bag and just warned the SA that there was broken glass.i told them i had spoke to someone online and they told me to take it to the store and exchange it. SA at the store told me to go and get another one and that was it. she didnt even ask to look at my order form. really helpful.:)

I got my order today, and every single item in it was broken. Not even just chipped, but smashed to smithereens in the case of the strawberry jam jars, sweets in plastic containers broken, with the delivery sack full of jelly beans, toys with the plastic box fronts smashed in and torn - not a single item arrived in decent presentable condition:(

Matalan customer services were very good about it - they have refunded my entire order, and just asked me to throw the items away, so I can't complain about that, but its just frustrating to have to go and buy everything again:(

I guess the parcels have been sitting around in depots being kicked around and not having care taken of them. Not Matalan's fault to be honest, more DHL, but do check your parcels carefully rather than just tucking them away in the cupboard unopened!

I waited in all day yesterday and my parcel didn't show up.it said it was out for delivery. Does anybody know if DHL deliver on saturdays not sure if i should wait in again today as i have loads to do.

No, DHL don't deliver on sats according to CS, I called to ask yesterday lol

Yes they do as i've received my order this afternoon! After reading some Previous posts i think i need to open it up and check for damages! I usually do but with the kids around i tend to stuff the boxes under the stairs and check when they've gone to sleep! Thanks for letting us know and fingers crossed mine are ok!

argghhhh still waiting for my deliverys over a hundred quids worth of stuff and i am in scotland really not gonna be happy if i have to wait till after xmas for them, not sure why they are saying we wont get them till after xmas as i have been getting deliverys all week no problems mind u am still waiting for new hoover i won which was ment to have been sent 24hr delivery spose to receive it yesterday

sorry to hear others have had problems with broken items i ordered a lot of the sweet items bubble gum machines jelly beans hope they come in tact in before santa pays his visit,
think am gonna phone them
