ps the verify with visa pop up is just to confirm u are who u say are and are supposed to be using that card they can take more tesco do every week with me
When you have your Tesco delivery, you sign an electric pad to say you re-authorise the new amount on your itemised list. The verified by Visa amount is only a preliminary hold, they can not take ANY more until you sign that electric pad.:xmastree:Self Certified Christmas Addict:xmastree:0 -

I never. This is the first time I've used a stack of codes together. I just assumed it was okay. I didn't know it was a glitch until people said it wasn't working. And even then (cos i don't know how these things work), i didn't think it was wrong.

If you use a code that was not issued to you personally, then you need to make sure it's one that has been published freely for everyone to use or you're using that code without permission. Those that did have it sent personally, knew full well in the terms and conditions that codes were not to be used together.
HOWEVER..
I'm not on any moral high horse about this. I use codes on here all the time and I haven't a foggiest where they come from.:D
I placed a huge order of £128 from Matalan.. and I used FIVE codes (not seven though.. boo hoo):p
I just think people are being a little bit too quick to judge and moan.. give it time for things to turn up and monies to be deducted. There's too much speculation and too many questions that no-one can possibly answer right now.:xmastree:Self Certified Christmas Addict:xmastree:0 -

money always leaves my account before i recieve my goods so cant see that being the case if i have any queries the money then gets refunded to my account it happens every week with tesco i authorise an amount but thats never the amount that comes from my accountbest win in 2011:eek: 4 nights in Las Vegas
2011 wins £8,752.000 -

When you enter your password on 'verified by Visa', you are entering a contract to agree Tesco can take the amount specified and no more.
Money is held on your account, but not taken, to make sure you have the funds. This money held is just the preliminary agreement, the final amount taken requires a further signature upon receipt of the goods.
We're talking about Matalan anyway, not Tesco.. apples and pears! :rotfl:If they're taking money (not holding, TAKING) that you have not authorised, then they're breaking the law.
Or are you telling me that once you give someone your credit card details, it doesn't matter how much your contract has agreed.. they can take what the heck they like?:xmastree:Self Certified Christmas Addict:xmastree:0 -
Well I don't understand how then when I was charged 50p by Damart they took £8.95 from my account - Same with Next - They were meant to charge me £12 and took £36 .... I don't understand it then because on the Damart order I definitely went through the vefify by visa box!!
Can't remember if I did with Next but this is just my experience as I KNOW I only verified 50p with Damart!!!!!!
Am sure it will all work out - It just gets stressful trying to bag a bargain sometimes ... And if ya strapped for cash its stressful enough ALREADY .... Especially at Christmas
Am sure alot of people are on here because they haven't got money to waste or buy full priced items with so these codes or glitches are invaluable to us ... IF they work!!!
( In this case it would just be SO unfair if those with OOS items were charged full price and those with all items in stock were given all the discounts on theirs )0 -
