those worrying about them taking money and refunding it... unless it states on your bank transactions that they've took the money out or credited it back...then at the moment it will just be in holding untill they request it... and if its been it holding for a while your bank may release the funds again until Matalan request it which may not be until they despatch the goods (if they honour the orders).

Thank you for explaining things a little better

I don't think people are exactly worrying, we were just wondering what's going on and hoping we get our orders that's all.

I work in a bank and what actually happens is that through the card system an electronic earmark is placed on the funds. This is normally on for a day or two before the transaction is completed and shows on your statement. What will probably happen is that as they despatch the goods the money will be requested again.

Bear in maind they maybe a bit behind in sending stuff out because of the snow. Maybe the warehouse was snowed in for a bit.

I've known some companies deliver before the money shows as taken from my statement.

I'm waiting for mine, although I can't tell if funds have been earmarked as it's on the one card I can't check online.

money was taken for my 2 orders straight away really hope they come although i am snowed in at the moment so not expecting anything soon
