same but nothing since Friday. Waiting for some items that were dispached a week and half ago that still haven't arrived. The main one being a snow shovelIf you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!0 -
No problems here we received mail today, None of it for us but it got delivered.
Is it just my postman or do they all post mail to your neighbours instead of yourself?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
All the arguments about how they cope in colder countries are completely spurious. Countries which encounter this weather frequently are geared up for it. In Scandanavia, parts of Canada, every driver has snow tires and chains etc., so they can get about. These are not cheap by the way.
We could also gear up for it. But are we prepared to pay the very high costs involved? Two hard winters in a row are very rare.
And for me, if you choose to live out in the sticks you have to put up with it.0 -
our posite is brilliant.. delivers in all weathers and the same goes for the parcel vans...Sealed pot challenger # 10

We didn't get any post yesterday but did today. The town centre postie who delivered yesterday to mum's work said there was a huge debate if they were going out at all, when the manager was asked if they went out and slipped and hurt their back would they be covered re insurance, the answer was hmmm... not sure....
Don't blame them in any way not coming out yesterday, we had 3in over night and it snowed all day. Today is very icy so didn't expect anything today either.0 -

its a big issue
i heard the guys got a 'talk' the other day that accidents on duty were "99% the posties fault"
accidents on duty are 'usually' not counted towards the attendance procedure
but RM will do all they can to prove it was the posties fault
last i heard was where they desperately weighing a posties bags after he hurt his back
bags should be weighed regularly as part of a managers daily checks
in nearly 7 years at RM i had them checked once0 -
