We've got a couple of inches of snow and the main roads are clear, but smaller roads (especially uphill) are more difficult and slippery. Our wonderful postie on foot has been here every day, even though they've been told that it's on a voluntary basis and they don't need to do their rounds - he has a difficult journey to work from a much more badly affected area, too. We've not seen any RM delivery vans since the snow began, though, so are missing quite a lot of parcels.

Couriers seem to be getting through okay.

We've had it every day and I'm in Essex where it's pretty bad at the moment. Well done Royal Mail!

Our area is exactly the same (North East). Normal postie is getting here okay, but no van deliveries for two weeks. Pain when you're waiting for stuff, but it's worse for others I suppose.

Our postie hasn't been all week, going by your local post office his suck at home and can't get out, strange I've seen him everyday this week propping up the bar on a pub on the way home (late morning/midday) and then walking past my house (I guess his way home) late evening.

He might not be such a trooper if he was further north!

Rural Lincs and our postie stops at the first flake, although he makes it to his 'lady friends' house for his breakfast each morning. He told me last week he's only going to do his minimum as the PO expect him to work "til 10pm until Christmas and they can **** off" apparently.

And it's not just because of the roads - OH is an emergency plumber across Lincs/Notts/Leics and he's getting around ok, not great but ok.
