hellooooooo
well i THINK i've potted 83p today but i cant actually remember what i counted when i popped it all in, so ill say its 83po and hope for the best
Horrible day today, blinking car dashboard has decided to conk out so I have no idea how much petrol I have, how fast im going or even what the time is!! Rang the renault people to goo through all the automated selections to get 'if you are ringing because your pre 2009 renault dash has stopped displaying, this is a common fault, please ring your local dealer who will replace it for the reduced price of £100' so I have to pay £100 to fix their shoddy workmanship ^^ grrrr.
Anyway im off to bed to brood over my £100 night all
Sorry to hear about the car Jakes-mum but its outrageous too seeing as its a fault with the model. It should be recalled and sorted for free

A one pound coin in the pot today. Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.

Please do try hard to carry on saving as you have quite a while until the 1st December, go on....give it a go and you could be happy with your savings then too!
BTW we don't do pinching on here.....we liberate our hubbies cars and pockets or relieve them of all that weight, nothing more.
Do you know what? you are RIGHt. I have realised that even though the Tin that we emptied is still empty I have 2 other pots on the go that we did not raid... I have a volvic bottle collecting lovely shiny 5p pieces and a coffee bottle collecting coppers...We (that the kids included) are adding to it on auto pilot. Only realised this when I picked a penny up from DD room and she didnt put it in her empty money box but ran to add it to the one in the kitchen as its an orange coin.sealed pot chellenger no992Total for 2011= £198

I think so too footie! Im writing a complaint anyway about the bloke who worked there as he was the rudest most obnoxious person ive had the misfortune to come into contact with. Everything seemed to be a hassle for him, what was our mileage? umm well as my dashboard doesnt display anything I havent the foggiest surprisingly, well we have to know for our records. Hubby then tries to give him info, hes just talking over him constantly, finally we get across we had the MOT done a few months back can he ring them and ask them what they noted it at and add a thousand miles as due to my disability we dont travel anywhere really. (off he huffs) 15 minutes later we get that sorted, are you going to wait for it? he asks. How long will it take asks we as I cant sit for long in straight backed chairs, 30 mins says huffy, ok we will wait. 1hr 15 mins later our car comes back, im dying and in so much pain I could scream and he then takes another 10 minutes fannying about with the paperwork.
The final straw to me was despite the big blue badge in the window, the mechanic didnt park it in the disabled bay right outside the door he parked it in one of the normal spaces 30 mtrs away (which is a looong walk when you cant walk more than 40 mtrs) and proceeded to rest his laurels on my bonnet
I did ask as we walked out (i was peeved by then) 'is there a problem with it?' i think he understood that sitting on my bonnet was not acceptable and maybe he should find a chair if he was tired.SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £25/£10000 -
anyway after that little rant (sorry everyone but im suffering so much from the journey to the garage, the huge wait and the loss of temper at the min)
On to more important things . . . potting, today a lovely £1.44 in change has slid its way into my pot number 2, hubby is not happy with me as he should have had £6 for his tin but I havent been to the bank to get it, he will have to have £12 tomorrowSPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £25/£10000 -
Evening everyone!
Sorry to hear about your troubles, jakes-mum - I'm with Footie, if it was a fault on the side of the manufacturer then they should flippin' well pay for it! And they should certainly compensate you for having to cross paths with that rude little man! Hope your pain - and outrage! - will ease soon.
Hello to the rest of my fellow potters - some fabulous potting going on as always! Can't say I'm liking all this talk of cheesecake though - cheesecake is officially one of my favourite things in the world, but there is none in my house, and now I want some! You lot are gonna have me hacking my pots open for cheesecake money! I must be strong!
£3.35 in shiny silver in my pot yesterday, and my Mummy found 5p in the garden today and kindly donated it to my pot! (I encouraged her to start a pot of her own, but she demonstrated no appreciation of the wonder that is potting, so I gratefully accepted it for my pot and I think it is already enjoying its new home!
Welcome newbies, happy potting! Enjoy the madhouse!

I'm claiming a mini win over those evil Bankers today....1p in road kill scooped up off the floor of the branch I popped in to so I could pay a cheque in to my account. :jIt’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.
