Evening fellow potters...I am sad to report that my pot has been raided by OH for carpark change and a few £10 notes...Grrrr...I need a better pot. I had a Royal wedding biscuit tin sealed with sellotape...any good ideas for a better more sturdy pot anyone? I am rubbish at papier mache so a bit more simple would be good
Thanks all...I just put in 13p from my purse to restart the tin...

£1.50 gone in last night care of my mother as I went and got her bread for her yesterday. Was rather an exciting day as she went to meet her brother that she only found out about 6 months ago, for the first time
Think he must have been a bit shocked, to look for 1 family member and get a letter saying 'helloooooo, by the way your one of 10 children :rotfl:)
But it seems to have gone really well so hopefully we will all get to meet him aswell soonSPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -

Hiya sparky, you're right about the speechto text thingamyjig though in all honesty it doesn't take too long to get to grips with at all - either that or perhaps I'm just so clever!! Okay maybe not the latter. I'm just so pleased I've got it so I can keep in touch with the outside world, wonderful inventions! :j
Hi again Observer, good to see you dropping by again. I hope things pick up quickly for you with your savings, you've got plenty of time left anyway.elsiepac wrote:Thanks Sue, sorry about the name issue. If it helps, my name is Lee-anne... user name comes from my initials in real life - LC = elsie, see??!!
Sorry again and hope everyone is having a lovely Sunday!
Lee-anne x
No problem at all Lee-anne, I'm just pleased we got it sorted out as names are important. I can quite see why you use the 'elsie' for your username. Anyway, at least we know where we're at now and good luck with your savings.
A very naughty OH then Catherine!! That's why we call it the Sealed Pot Challenge...so it keeps all fingers out and everyone free from temptation! Still if you're getting a sealed one now then that should safeguard you, all the best with this one.

I'm so pleased you're sticking with us, Gap, though I'd never have given permission for you to buzz off.....whatever next!! All that time and you never had a ........Sealed Pot??????? I'm utterly spokeless!!!!! .......and that don't happen often, I assure you.:happylove
:o I am very self-disciplined (apart from when it comes to Red bull, strangely) and I have never touched the money in my pot before. I knew it would happen at the start of this year so I declared it and asked to leave. You said that I could stay and save what I could anyway. I have now paid the horrible stuff and I am back to sealed potting. I saw a nice pot when I was out with Little Miss Gap on Saturday and she wanted one. I decided I would get myself one too. I didn't really need it because my pot at the time, although not "sealed" did not cause me any problems with temptation  but I really liked the new one and it wasn't expensive. I hope that goes a little way to an explanation!
