Hello everybody - I just posted on the weekly spend challenge my new additional approach - I was just picking up 1, 2 and 5 penny coins. I just worked out that my weekly spend challenge (inspired by Eb diary) needs to be more meaningful so any left over money will be put in my seal pot as well.

End of this week: £10.03 to go in the pot (OMG!)

I won't keep track though of how much I put (too tempting) so I'll keep weighing it.

I'll review my target up from £50 to £200

Have a fantastic week end everybody. I need to catch up with the thread to find out how you are all doing

You're doing well, karom. Not sure if you were asking me to update your Target or not, but have done so it's now £200

Well done on your walk and cash input, missmilly. Both are good to help in life.

Not to worry, majjak, NSDs are still gains, maybe things will turn around.

Well done, Amy. Yes, we all pick up money off the streets, put it this way - why not?!

You're keeping up what you started Lula and keeping the clunks coming! You're a credit to yourself, just as with the fags.

I'm thinking of having a go at the paper mache to decorate it - the child in me's trying to get out more than normal :rotfl:. If anyone's decorated their pot this way, what have they 'created':D. I chose to use the word created, because mine's going to be a visual extravaganza :rotfl:.

Hi nu1isit?, have a look on the 1st page on post 1 and you'll see a link to Nic's "Nicomedia" recipe for making a paper mach! pot. Click the link and you'll find pictures in or around the end of the page you land on. All the best, there have been some good ones done.

Hi scuba, another big day coming up for you then, enjoy it all - aside from handing over the £2000!!!!!

So you managed some after all ALJA, good for you.

Well done on resisting the lure, Fiasco!!!

    Hello

My pot weighs 3.2KG this week. I have not been spending money really so I haven't had much change to put in the pot at the end of each day.

    Have a good week all

Thanks Sue, we think its actually only a shade under £1500 we still need to pay...but its still a scary amount of money esp as over half of it is my contribution to the moving in fund (my half of the deposit, first months rent and credit referencing fees as hisself paid the holding deposit). Still all being well we'll go and do the inventory and start moving in on Friday lunchtime - then go back to work and I'll be leaving my lodgings Saturday, planning to spend Sunday before work cleaning the room.
At some point we need to sit down and sort out our contents insurance too - I know which bits of my stuff is high value as most of its insured already (jewellery and sports kit) but not got a clue about his. Not to mention the sealed pots! ;)

Whoops! nearly forgot to log my pot. just a little today ...18p found around the house. Not much but better in there than nowhere. No spending today and no additional pennies in the old purse.

    Happy potting folks. ;)
