daft question but do you all pic up pennies from the street? i do and have got my older 2 kids doing it, OH wont. this is what most of the "loose change" in the bowl was - 1, 2 and 5ps.

I rarely find any, I think there must be someone else off this board living near me & grabbing it all first :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I only collect 1, 2 & 5ps in my tin but Mr Melvis sneaks the odd 20p in there to surprise me at count up time :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Well I managed a NSD today and I am delighted to have resisted the pull of the M & S sale.

Did find 5p down the side of my jewellery box - so straight into the pot.

I've been away from home for the last two days with work so haven't read what seems like 1,000,000 posts!

I have a wee amount of change into my pots today. Looking forward to counting them already! I'm doing the frugal challenge too at the moment though so if that works the way it's meant to I won't have much change for the pot :rotfl:

I'm another TopCashBack fan, which reminds me that i must draw down the money sat in there..... Need a new account for all these 'pots'.... Wonder if a passbook account would be better than online, as I would have to go and get the money rather than transfer it.....?

Not sure who it was that suggested drawing cash out to buy groceries??? Thats a fab idea, as i'm always using my card and wondering why i've never no money left in the bank, all those little bits add up..... So, decided that OH and I are gonna draw £100 (to share) out on a Friday and out of this we have to buy petrol, food and anything else we need through the week.... On a Thursday, anything left goes in the sealed pot..... :T

NSD for me today, as my boss bought my lunch, so no pennies for the pot..... :(
