It could be wishful thinking but I have to say I always knew right at the point I couldn't face coffee in the mornings (immediate)! Any signs like that? I was also extra clumsy on all three occassions, tripping over my own feet constantly. It's different for everyone - feeling a bit sick and having sore boobs is a good sign. Good luck!

I was the same, especially the sore boobs-felt like they belonged to someone else as they certainly didn't feel like mine!
Good luck, hope you have the outcome you want x
  • It is amazing when you want something so much that the body can give you the physical symptoms, so be careful about convincing yourself.

However these are good signs, and it is perfectly natural to feel different way before your period is due, because you will likely have had a couple of weeks with things going on inside if you are.

    Good luck

I haven't experienced it myself (thankfully!) but I was amazed at a friend's story of how she knew almost immediately each time coz her sense of smell changed!
    Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!

  • Aw hope you are right & not just wishful thinking. When we were trying for our first I had pregnancy signs every month. They were all in my head :(. But the month I was actually pregnant was different - I just knew. I have been pregnant 3 times & knew each time before doing a test.

With my first it was funny tummy pains. Second, I fainted a fee days before I could test (I unfortunatly lost that baby). With my 3rd I just 'knew'.

Pregnancy is a strange thing. I strongly thought I was having a boy first and I was right. When pregnant with my daughter I felt my body/mind was telling me I was carrying a girl and was right again.

With my son I could not go near coffee & usually love the stuff as someone before said. And don't even mention what happens to your sense of smell!!!!! It's weird!

Good luck testing on Monday (or Sunday if you can't wait like I never could;))

I was like that - convinced it was a girl to the point I wanted to buy dresses!! No one would let me - but i did get the girl :)

OP please let us know the result of the test when you do it :)

I have to agree that i just suddenly realised i was pregnant after a few months of trying. I had the usual period symptoms around the time my period was due - stomach cramps, tired and emotional - but i also had really sore boobs and (TMI?) my nipples were really, really tender. It was so completely unusual for me that i knew i'd get a positive on a pregnancy test, and i was right!

Keeping my fingers crossed for you x

few days after conception my sense of smell went through the roof,my bbs were sore and I got in my car and couldnt figure out how to get into reverse , lol , so done one of those first response tests 2 days before my period and got a BFN so convinced myself it was all in my head. Then started waking in the night needed to wee and was drinking far more than usual then when I missed my period the following month I got a BFP ,was totally shocked even though I had loads of signs. I dont know about anyone else but the breast pain is different from PMS breast pain , its more round the sides and they feel full, sounds odd but maybe other pregnant ladies will agree
Thanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!
