Bitter?
Good on him I say.
All those doubters who've said there's no such thing as a free lunch need to examine their lunch box.
All those naysayers who've said a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush need to check their aviary.
What's your part in all this?0 -

I am starting to wonder this myself, by all means I have explained it in great length yet you still think I am some sort of conman.
I will simplify it further for you.
There is 2 ways of looking at it, either one is fine with me.
1, My other half has given me money to help pay for debts which I run up before we met so we can get on with our life together and make our dreams come quicker.
2, My other half has loaned me money on the short term to help clear debts to which it will all be paid back over the next 2 years. This is so we can get on with our life together and make our dreams come quicker.
Understand?
If we kept everything separate as that seems to be the only thing which would acceptable to you we would have both paid a lot more in interest while clearing our debts and would have been out of sync, in turn adding about 2 years to the waiting.
Does it upset you that we are solid as a couple and have thought about this and actually came up with a plan which saved us both money and meant we never had to rent? Combined we have saved thousands in interest payments and took 2 years off our house buying date, we haven't done this to trick each other or for any financial gain form each other but because we love each other.
I will add that if the scales where the other way and I was paying her debt I wouldn't care, what is a few thousand pounds when you plan to spend the rest of your lives together.

Still failing to see where the free lunch comes in, its not like I am buying a house and expect somebody to pay the mortgage for me while I retain ownership or anything like that is it?Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

Conman? Your word not mine. I said parasite, not conman. Definitely not conman. Something on your mind?
So how shall we progress this?
Can we see the spreadsheet as proof?
It all sounds above board but a bit of evidence is needed.
May I add your defence is admirable. Have you practised it before?0 -

Well you can quit, admit you assumed a few to many things about me and say sorry.JonnyBravo wrote: »Can we see the spreadsheet as proof?
If we really must, would rather send it to somebody like you I must admit. As it is a few members on the Debt free wannabe board are also using it in a version of it as I made a template out of it to help others.JonnyBravo wrote: »It all sounds above board but a bit of evidence is needed.
I want evidence you are not a cartoon character! :cool:JonnyBravo wrote: »May I add your defence is admirable. Have you practised it before?
I find it quite easy, I am the kind of guy where the truth comes naturally to me.
In all seriousness what have I done to get you to go into a full on keyboard warrior attack on me?Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

Whether your right or wrong Jonnybravo your coming across as an unpleasant person. Your credibility is undermined by your nasty tone.0

I spent most of the 13-14 years of my relationship with Mrs G earning more than her but it all went in to a joint account. If things carry on as they are, she'll be earning more than me in about 6 years. Still the money will be shared. I've never really understood why you'd marry someone and then keep all your money for yourself.0 -
She must be a parasite by Jonny's standards, you best get rid, saying that in 6 years you will be the parasite so she might get rid of you...
...oh wait...
Out of interest have you just stopped counting like we have, because thats very wrong too, every penny should be paid back to you!
...oh wait...
I suppose in every relationship there is a difference to which one ends up better off than the other and that balance can shift.
I best ask payroll at work if there is any single ladies on the same salary band as me, only fair way.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

No need thanks. Not really needing it but it does indeed do you credit you've been helping others. If we really must, would rather send it to somebody like you I must admit. You'll be waiting a long time. I have been playing the annoying fool. Good wasn't it?I want evidence you are not a cartoon character!
