do people really rely on shopping being delivered nowadays?0

No, I prefer to shop instore- then I know what is going home with me (most of the time unless DS slipped something in that I didn't see!).do people really rely on shopping being delivered nowadays?Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

Not rely on, but since my car's snowed in I can hardly go and do a big shop. Most of it was Christmas stuff that's being bunged in the freezer, of course there was the normal weekly shop in there too. Looks like I'm going to have to trudge to the local Scotmid for dailies.
I'm not annoyed at it being cancelled, I'm annoyed at the quality of customer service. They had 3 hours to tell me my order had been cancelled before I phoned up.0

I had the same problem this Monday and I had little food in myself! I was more annoyed that I had no contact - surely they would have known several hours prior what the roads were like.
But, other deliveries were getting through fine to my village. I'd had several courier deliveries that day, days before and after! My dp also has been driving about somewhat for customers, and he has found it slow-going but not impossible. So I'm trying to understand why Tesco were incapable!
My dp has our car, but he works for a kitchen company and due to high demand before christmas isn't finishing till 9pm plus he's terrible at shopping... I have two children [one disabled]... So getting it delivered is crucial to our ease of life.
And they gave me a day for 6-days later, which tbh is unacceptable, if this were the case of cancellations you'd think they'd pull out all the stops so that people were given sooner dates? ie relief drivers.. It's not as if Tesco cannot afford it?
Not only that I had a £13 off online shop voucher, that is now no longer valid!
Can you tell I'm still riled?0

I depend on it being delivered as I cannot carry it home on my own and I don't drive.
My order got cancelled too. I didn't receive a text until after midnight and the next slot available is on Thursday. Ridiculous.Competition Wins:

i dont think not having a car automatically means people get their shopping delivered?charlie-chan wrote: »I depend on it being delivered as I cannot carry it home on my own and I don't drive.

well theres little they can do
im sure their demand for deliveries has increased
so they have an increase in demand and a limiting factor on the deliveries they can do0

Yes I walk everywhere or cycle but thats ok when you only need a few things but I cant carry heavy items when I do a full weeks shopping so I find the online shopping ideal.0
