we had the same problem last Thursday, ordered online to deliver between 3-5pm. 5pm came and went. Went online and showed as delivered, tried calling their customer services ,got through after 20 mins only to be told that the delivery van had turned back due to bad weather.

We were never told, they didnt email or ring to say they couldnt make it.

They said the status shows as delivered as soon as it leaves the depot??? why it hasnt been....... they did apologise and offered £15 Ecoupons and said our money would be refunded in 3-5 days. Not good enough Mr Tesco......I wouldnt expect you to let me walk out with a trolley full of shopping & I`ll pay you in 3-5 days:rotfl:

I've just had the same problem with Asda, ordered my shopping yesterday morning for it to be delivered between 9 and 11 today. they have just called me to say that the driver cant get here because of the snow, perfectly understandable, but then went on to say that as they cant come they completely cancelled my order and i'll have to rebook it. Just gone on Asda website, first time they can deliver is Saturday!! So just checked when Tesco can deliver, next Tuesday!! Cannot believe this, completely snowed in, no essentials in the house, I can't drive, all buses in the county have been suspended until further notice. I would go out and walk over a mile to the nearest shop, but no guarantees that they would have had a delivery or anything............

sorry for hijacking your thread, just had to vent......
You're so very special, I wish I was special

hope the op's shopping turned up eventually :)

i feel your pain moose! :( my delivery for last night (6-8pm) got cancelled due to the weather/blocked roads, the driver did call at about 6.10pm & i had to feel a bit sorry for him, not the best job in these conditions! i rang CS, was on hold for 20 mins but a recorded message had advised this at the beginning, re-arranged my order for 11am-1pm today, phone call this morning just after 9am - ALL today's orders cancelled due to conditions! we've got completely bare fridge/larder & we'll be eating cat food if hubby can't get to the shops on his way home!

thought i'd better safe than sorry so i've just booked a morning slot for next monday with tesco, finished my order off & went to have a look what other slots were available if i needed to change it - they're all blanked out for monday now, phew! looks like i was just in the nick of time...

must be a nightmare for them to sort out when it's like this. hope people manage to get some supplies in some how, & this white stuff goes away soon!

Slightly off topic as its not Tesco but Sainsburys have just delivered my shopping :j

I have got thick ice and snow outside and the man wouldnt even let me walk up the path to help him!!

He did say that he knew Tesco had cancelled most of the orders but sainsburys were getting out as many as they could and were just driving slower so therefore could be late. Also as we are due a lot more snow this evening they though today was the safer day to deliver.

I hope you all get your shopping and are not stuck without essentials.

My daughters Tuesday delivery from Tesco was cancelled, no phone call. She was on the phone for 45 minutes trying to get through and was told all the phone calls come from Aberdeen, not the local store and they couldn't cope with them. The delivery was rebooked for Wednesday and she had them make a note that if the van couldn't get to her street to ring her and she'd walk up to the main road to collect it. Of course, no phone call and no delivery so she had to set off for the shop herself.

last time i ordered from tesco the slot was between 8-10pm, they came at 10 as the driver was covering for another due to an accident. i wouldnt feel too annoyed due to the weather etc but usually if you give customer services a call they can get in touch with the driver for you

One of the reasosn we stopped shopping online with Tesco.
Twice no delivery, no phone call to let us know and they had
taken the money out of our account, had same experience with
    Asda.

Well we always get a call fi they're delayed. One had an accident the other day and rang - but wasn't even late after all.
Can't blame them for the weather but they could ring.
i alwasy find C.S. ok - rnag this week and despite weather n other partd of country got through reasonably quickly and had a refund of £10 for my £5 christmas lights.

This reassures me that shopping instore is still the best option (and we could not drive through due to snow but got bus and got a mini-shop)!

Mine was meant to be delivered today between 12-2, what a surprise, nothing's come. Not had any word, no e-mail, no phone call and no text. Phone up Tesco, it's been cancelled. Can't deliver to me until next Wednesday. Absolute !!!!ing !!!! take. £150 worth of shopping. Suppose I'll be living off fresh air pie for the next 5 days.

What's the betting that Wednesday comes and it gets cancelled without me being told again. Useless !!!!!.
