good grief, was the queue of last day customers so long you're only managing to get time to post your thoughts now:D

the nature of some people is that they WILL leave things until the last minute - for some that's their nature and whilst it isn't the way some of us work that doesn't mean it is wrong.

tesco (and any other company in a similar situation) should be properly organised to deal with this. Without the customers there would be no Tesco - perhaps worth remembering.

And prehaps why so many stores I now visit have a special area for "last chance to buy" items- they must do well as the whole idea has spread from store to store like wildfire!

Tesco should have gotten together a better system for dealing with this IMO. Wasn't something I bothered with so have no experience of how badly it went but from the posts on here alone it was clear their systems and moreover their staff were just simply ill equipt and not able to deal with things.

You think the amount of £££££ they put into researching consumer patterns, what sells and how advertising works (including advertising the final few days of the exchange scheme by email, posters and every other type of adverts going) that they'd have done more to cope with the final day.
