MSE News: Deadline looming for Tesco Clubcard exchange

I'm sat here with 5 hours to go trying to find which hotel chain to invest in. Myself and my partner have £109.5 (£438) in vouchers to spend. The process of spending them seems ludicrously complicated with so many T&Cs attached to each deal. Which hotel chain offers the best choice of hotels and best T&Cs with Tesco can anyone advise?

We'd quite like to spend about four days at easter at the MacDonald Old England Hotel in the Lake District for example. I can just imagine ordering the tokens tonight only to phone tomorrow to be told it's totally out of the question to use Tesco to get a discount....

Or maybe I'm just being pessimistic!

Looks like quite a few people are trying to redeem their rewards as the site seems to be completely banjaxed. I can't even get the "rewards" page to load.

Annoying when you're trying to redeem your vouchers.

This is so frustrating, I've now spent 2.5 hours trying to redeem my vouchers but the site is soooooo slow. If I am successful tonight, does anybody know, will I still have time to order my items?

Like several people on this thread, I've been attempting to cash in my Tesco vouchers this everning. Okay, so I left it a little late, but you'd have thought that the IT folks at Tesco would have taken a last minute rush into account and have been prepared for a surge of activity.

I've consistently got the following message when attempting any transsaction.

Server Error in '/clubcard/Deals' Application.

Sorry, Tesco. It's really not good enough......

Also getting the runtime error, really annoying.

Has anyone managed to get an order through? Is it worth it to keep trying? I have been able to browse somethings, but never gotten as far as my basket.

I got past the 'Runtime' errors to find that because the word 'flat' is missing from my clubcard address, my order cannot be processed. I go back to put the vouchers in again to be told they've already been used.:mad::mad::mad:

I converted mine earlier this evening and it took a long time. I just converted my mums vouchers now and initially every page kept saying error but then suddenly it started working and the pages went through very quickly, so keep trying if you get the error messages

Same thing has happened to me - the site is sayingI've already used the vouchers when I haven't. Hopefully they will still honour their 4x face value as we tried to exchange them before the deadline. I've emailed them saying as much.

Just managed to get my order though, found it easier to just type in search the deal you want, takes you straight to the page, kept getting error messages but gradually got it thorugh by using the refresh button - so dont give up if you are trying to make the most of the 4 X value.
