  • I feel that overall, Tesco loyalty still offers great value.
  • I have been saving mine to use on a holiday next year.

If I exchange them now at 4 times the value is there a time limit on when I have to use them or do you have to book the holiday straight away?
  • Hi,

I've been looking at a new hoover on the Tesco Website. The hoover in question is part of the 'Big Exchange' offer, and costs £59.

I've taken £30 of regular Clubcards vouchers and have converted them into 'Big Exchange' vouchers. As 'Big Exchange' vouchers this gives me £60 worth.

When I come to order the item the total cost including delivery is £64.

Where I'm struggling is that I can only add £50 worth of 'Big Exchange' vouchers when trying to order the hoover, thus leaving an outstanding amount of £14. The last voucher (regardless of the order I enter them - it's not one particular voucher) is always rejected.

I don't understand where I'm going wrong. I was expecting to be able to use the £60 'Big Exchange' vouchers, and then pay the remaining £4 on a debit card. As it stands I'm needing to pay the remaining £14 on a debit card - leaving me with a unused £10 'Big Exchange' voucher.

Anyone tell me what I've done wrong?.

    Thanks

    Iain

your order total has to be over £60 before you add on the delivery costs

  • They dont give change and you cant change them back so add the cheapest thing you can find to your order that the exchage vouchers covers.
    you could add this
    http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.206-0690.aspx

Spend £3 and you would be able to use your voucher and save spending £9.95.

or look for something else, change to price instead of discount.

In this weather i would recommend delivery to store and collect it yourself as some deliveries are being cancelled.
  • Hi,

    Thanks both.

In that case I've just 'upgraded' to an more expensive model!.

    Regards

Rewards tokens are valid for 6 months from issue, and you only have to book within that time frame, not actually travel.

The only thing to be wary of is if you are planning on using them for a Virgin Holiday. Virgin impose a restriction on what value of tokens can be used per passenger, which is currently £700. As well as Tesco cutting the redemption rate on the 6th Dec (4x to 3x), Virgin are reducing the amount that can be used per passenger to £525 for bookings from 6th Dec onwards.

In my local store they tell people if the goods cost less than your Big Exchange vouchers any balance will be creditted back to your clubcard account. What happens if you try and pay delivery by card and balance by vouchers (if it allows you to do this)?

there is no way around it. if the goods total less than your big exchange vouchers, then they wont accept all your vouchers. you have to spend in multiples of £10. the only thing you can do, as suggested above, is to add low value items that fall within the big exchange criteria, so your basket total is high enough

  • I still havent recieved my codes for the vouchers i exchanged online almost 3 weeks ago. it still says processing on the new part of the website, and every time i ring them, what ever option i choose it just gives me an engaged tone then hangs up.
Am getting seriously frustrated with this now - has anyone else had trouble with this?
I also messaged them through theirr contact us messaging system and havent recieved a reply.
Everyone who thanks me when ive helped will get a 5% share when I win this weeks Euromillions......:p
