Maybe but as you said (and i dont have much understanding of the share market) but i am sure that the demise of farepak would have encouraged shareholders in other schemes like this to drop out purely because of the farepak fiasco. this is so so sad and i am affected by the farepak to the tune of £540 and i am gutted i have made some alt arrangements but nothing as much as that so i wouldn't wish this on anyone at all. If they have got a hardware problem then surely they can put something on the site within a matter of hours it has three hours already.0

Not going into the share issue thing as I said this isn't my area of expertise, but as far as the server end is concerned then they HAVE been putting up messages to say it's under maintenance atm. However if it was a serious hardware fault (power outage for the server site - seriously this CAN happen and often does - taking everything down on that site. It can take several hours to start it all up again. These are not home computers but massive machines. If they were not shut down properly then it can take considerable time to bring them back up as they will verify all the data as they come up to ensure the data has not been corrupted. This is a HUGE undertaking, but this is PURELY speculation from my side
I am merely trying to point out that technical issues could have caused this and there is most likely NO need to panic or worrySites crash, servers have issues and it is most likely that this is a completely "normal" IT releated problem with the site and nothing sinister.
If you are really worried I would recommend calling Park and asking, but they will most likely explain it's just a technical issueDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Just becasue a website is unavailable doesn't mean a thing. In fact Farepak's website was up and running and available despite the fact that the company had gone under.
And for goodness sake, as has been stated on this post time and time again, if you are concerned, use the flipping telephone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:rolleyes:0 -
it appears all hamper company's are no longer trust worthy saving company's last year family hampers went wrong, luckly family savingsclud bought it out so i got some of are money back in the end we only lost £10.50, we deciderd that we would not trust, this company again and changed are order to farepak. what a mistake that was we have now losy £1100.00 total order so a 5 kids will not be getting a christmas presant, which was the many £500.00 of vouchers was for many we spend this in woolworths, and the £600 in food hampers to stock are frezer and larder has gone,as a family we feel sick we planned this christmas to be the best every was organised, now its gone, my husband has now gone in to hospital, and how do you tell the kids there is no christmas this year, if we get throw to 2007, hamper companys in are family are truely over.0

I have had a hamper or several for years and years and last year was the first year I had not had one at all in any form. I usually used family hampers.. so was quite relieved I'd not got one last year when they messed up.. not half as seriously as farepak though.
pbt1664.. I can understand this is still very, very raw for you and obviously will be for the hundreds of other customers who have paid into this throughout the year.. I am very relieved I didn't have a hamper this year purely for selfish reasons. I truly hope you can scrape something together.. and remember it is about giving to those you love.. the monetary amount doesn't matter to them so long as they have something. Could you make them some things? I'm sure you will provide the children with the most enjoyable christmas.. ((hugs))
I've literally hammered the credit card.. 0% interest for 12 months so I have a whole year to pay it off..
