hmmmmm very strange indeed
lets hope that park are not in the same situation i have had time to make small alternate arrangements not the full amount but some and my kids are old enought to understand but the fact that the site is down is poor i hope that they are not in trouble more people use park than use farepak i can assure you0 -

I wonder if it's crashed due to heavy traffic? If everyone is hitting it due to the Farepak incident (to ensure they are ok etc etc and THEY are not affected) then this COULD crash the server...
Also if due to enormous amounts of mail they may have had to take it down as an emergency measure although this usually means a controlled down time and therefor a chance to leave a "maintenance message"
Worst case (from an IT bod) scenario then someone affected by all this could have launched an attack and hacked the servers and brought the site down. Their server people might even have chosen to "pull the cable" if someone has tried this to prevent damage...
I'm not saying this couldn't be a dodgy incident, just pointing out a few alternatives before everyone assumes the worst about Park's situation...
And as for the MD of Farepak buying shares then as a public trading company Park have no control of who buys their shares, but if it's investigated and the MD is found to have used "insider knowledge" then it could be a bit iffy. This isn't my area of expertise tho so don't take it as gospel

tine the server attack is VERY POSSIBLE INDEED it isnt that difficult to attack a site is it
As not only a website owner and also an IT security person then no it's not hard at all IF you know what you're doing
Really guys I would NOT read anything into this at the moment! It may really just be because of huge traffic that they have had to bring it down as an emergency measure.
If it IS an attack on their servers then I would expect the site to be back up within hours or a day at the most (depending on if there is any data corruption) - if it is Traffic related then it depends on if it falls over when they try to restart it because 50,000 people are trying to access it at the same time...
Try not to panic and wait a bit and hopefully it should be back up soonDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Look if you are that worried ring them.
I think tine's thoughts are right.0 -
And not being funny... but it could even be as simple as a hardware problem on the server end...DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!
