Aww...me dunn woik-idd wen soooo mennie peeps is poorly-poops sad-smiley-012.gif ...tis times like this that I wish we were all living in the same village & could just nip round with a (i) vat of chicken soup & (ii) few rolls of bog-roll :o [ (i) home-made from the collective carcasses & allotments & (ii) cuz it's cheaper than tissues, of course! :p] Then again, we'd all catch it I suppose & it would be like one of those annoying chain-letters that keeps on going around & around & around & arou eeeuuughh...I feel a little queasy after all that spinning _pale_

Some good news folks! My cooker was delivered & installed yesterday :j Not so good...the main oven hasn't got the numbers on for regulating the temp so I'm guessing for the kievs & chips tonight confused-smiley-017.gif If you hear the soft dulcet tones of the emergency services in about 10mins, you'll know we've got burned offerings for dinner tonight :( Perhaps I should make a space tomorrow to sit & read the manual....

No 12 accomplished yesterday & hopefully, I've only got to pick up the flowers & maybe some milk on Friday after doing the 'fresh stuff' shop today. There's bits of food all over the house so the sooner the festivities begin, the quicker I can get into my bedroom without the aid of a climbing wall & trapeze!

Spoony - hope you're feeling better
Honey - best wished to your S.Dad xx

Well it was another spendy day for me today - though I did more or less stick to my list. Trouble I've found this month is that I know what I need to get but just don't seem to have the time to get everything at once.

Anyway, today's spends went as follows

Mr Spencer - Mulled wine (£2 off), cheesy nibbles (ok these weren't planned) and some honey roast cashew & peanuts (tried to get in Mr A yesterday but they don't seem to do them). Total spend £8 (ish) but all paid for with vouchers I had.

Mr T - pack of Branston beans (slightly battered, but not as badly as the other pack that were left) on offef 4 for £1 (should have asked for a discount due to damage but was losing the will to shop after the queues at Mr Spencer)

Also - £2.69 on some mixed nuts at the health food shop for OH nut roast on xmas day (did have some in Mr T for £2.50 but I wasn't so keen on the nut selection of those - and it is for xmas :))

In addition two cans of deoderant for OH from B**ts (£4) but he had change for those (the 'expensive' one I bought him a few weeks ago which was on offer, supposadly for sensitive skin, has made his wee pits break out in a rash.....so OH :o)

So all in all, I only spent £3.69 on my own pennies.

Also last Xmas present arrived today :j Xmas dinner wasn't delivered as scheduled ...but should be delivered tomorrow fingers crossed.

Just need to pick up (more) wrapping paper tomorrow (why is it that no matter how much you buy, you always run out ...bit like toilet roll :rotfl:), dessert, and sprouts and veg (yes, I'm going for ready, peeled, all prepped, micro in the back veg - well I'm not standing peeling it all while everyone else lazes in the lounge on xmas day :)) and that's me all set for xmas :j:j

All being well I do have a chance of making my target this month but it will be by the skin of my teeth if i do .....

Oh, and snow here on the melt tonight - been a bit drizzly so prob will be icy later but at least we can see (some) of the roads again.

  • Well I was hoping to go shopping this morning but by the time I eventually rolled out of bed I just couldn't get myself moving and summon up the effort to leave the house (lazy moo me :D) so another NSD for moi.

Tomorrow is definitely a spender - I got my new laptop being delivered *crosses fingers* and last of food and drink bits to get.

Hope everyone is doing okay. x x x
