Not sure whether this might be a bit of a cheeky NSD claim... I did spend £1 on lunch today but I received £2 change from our christmas lunch yesterday that I wasn't expecting back....

Can I hve it please? You can swap me in virtual Secret Santa if you want to give me is as a pressie? ;)

If I can claim it than I'm up to 8 :D

Well, today turned out to be a good day!

Had a lovely lunch and what was even better was that my pal treated us! We went to our regular little Italian bistro where the staff are great and we have a good laugh with them!
So an unexpected NSD after all! That's #11,so target beaten.
Could you please raise my target to 15 please Spoon?

OH is on his way up from the Smoke, I'm knackered, so I'm off to bed with a cuppa to watch Lord Sugar :)

:grouphug: for all who need a hug - its so stressful this tome of year, but we'll get there.

Thanks IF for keeping us going in smiles and chuckles:A

  • Sadly not got time to read posts from the past few days, totally slammed at work, not even time to pee, took an hour to drive home, normally 15 mins  Hence late and I need a bath and a glass of wine.

A nsd for me should have gone to the post office but didn't finish work until too late to go. So I think that's no 3 for me.

Hope everyone is having a good one.

  • ((((((((((((Huge hugs))))))))))) Moneypenny, hope things are ok with your daughter?

Great that things worked out so well with the sofa Jinty :j & lunch sounded lovely!

Well i can declare another 3 days taking my total to 7, more than i thought i would get under the circumstances.

Managed to work a miracle & get my mum smiling again at the weekend :D although it cost me an absolute fortune in food, drinks & extra xmas pressies  (maybe i know know where my spending tendencies came from as she definitely smiled more when we were buying!!), but all her positivity ended the second i left & so i have spent the last 2 nights on the phone for hours trying to keep her together, & any spare time researching immigration laws due to the imminent threat of the new wife being bought over to live above the shop with them both

I can totally understand why she feels so destroyed, but i just wish she would make a little bit of effort, as right now i am beyond exhausted with the effort of it all

Looking like a run of spendy days on the horizon with the work xmas lunch tomorrow (would rather not go, but you know how it is..) & then my dad up for the weekend, supposedly to pick up the xmas pressies, but actually i think cos he fancies some trips out somewhere different, he already has all the markets on his plan & what he wants me to cook for tea!!
Is it really wrong to wish everyone would leave me alone for just one weekend of peace to enjoy my beautiful new house?????

Butdoineedit - there is nothing wrong about wanting to be family-free to rest & enjoy your own space.

Number 5 today, applied the got meetings all day long and no time to get something for lunch. I need to sort out lunch to take to the office but this would be in the new year as need to adjust back to working and being out early & return late... which explains why I am so behind in catching up with the thread!

    Good morning everyone!

BDINI - what a time of it you've been having lately. It's a compliment to you that your folks want to spend time with you. You are obviously a very caring and supportive daughter. No, it's not wrong to want to relax in your own space, in fact it's very necessary! I think somehow you will need to be strong and carve out some "me time", otherwise you will be no help to anybody IFYSWIM. You're doing a grand job helping your Mum, but you must look after yourself too. :A

Spoon - Please dont feel you're neglecting us, you are doing a fine job at a very busy time, :A

Today might be a spendy day, I'm off to have my feet done ( heaven) although I've already stashed the money away for that, but I have the Rington's man coming( thanks again Nargle) and I feel I might succumb to some of the Christmas goodies!
OH got home safely @ 2 am this morning, so that's great. He's now on holiday till 10th January:eek:

    Have a lovely day everyone:)
