Just back from shops, I did spend after all!

cat litter and tray liners for the little darling - £19 in total. This was 2 x 20ltrs of Cat$an @ 2 for £14 and 2 packs of liners at 2 for £5 OH paid for this though!

2 posh steak & ale pies for dinner tomorrow, 2 massive cream scones for face stuffing later, some pain au chocolats and pain au raisins for the freezer for breakfasts over the Festive and a birthday card. £10.97
Then I bought 2 boxes of chocs for gifts that I needed for gifts, got them half price at the coop.

:grouphug: to Moneypenny - you must be so worried about DD, I'm sending positive vibes for a happy outcome. Thanks for sharing you story Cheryl ((hugs)) to you too. I had many years with exOH who wasconsistently verbally abusive and occasionally physically abusive and it aint fun.( He was a policeman too:o) Its not till you step away from the situation that you can get some perspective and you realise that life doesnt have to be like that. I hope that's the case for your DD.

Big hugs from me too to everyone who is, or has family or friends going through a tough time atm. xx

ps Jints - enjoy the face stuffing :rotfl::rotfl:

Not Mr M by any chance? If it was, then I assume those are the 'Best' scones..... totally yummy :D

I had the pain raisins for supper the other day - not impressed with them cold, so if I get any more I'll try heating them first.

Pain Chocolats were breakfast this morning.... nice chocolate, but not enough of it IMO :o

  • Just want to say thanks for all the hugs and good wishes. Cheryl, thank you for sharing that, you and I have so much in common. I just have to keep hoping that she won't take him back. Though she says he's a cr*p boyfriend he's a great dad. I just hope she's not saying that just to stop me worrying.

Anyhow, enough of me bringing the mood down. Have a good weekend all

Looks like I'm going to manage an NSD today - just depends on convincing one of the till staff at work to break a note up for me so I have bus fare for tomorrow......

Walked the dog late this morning, had a late lunch, and have spent this afternoon trying to get my accounts up-to-date. Thought I was going to have to buy something to get change, but have just had a mad scramble to iron a set of uniform as I've been called in !!! The lass who took over from me last night really didn't look well (asked one of the Managers to keep an eye on her as she looked ready to collapse), and apparently she's turned in for the close and clean today as normal but been sent home due to being ill.

Got to be there for 5pm (bakery manager is there until then), and will be working until half hour after store closes.......

Accounts still not completed, so will have to try and get them done after I get home. Have managed to do 11-21st November inclusive, but a couple of days I only managed due to posts on last months NSD thread as I've lost some receipts :o

I got No 6 yesterday as I spent the day catching up on poota & recorded telly. It wasn't as unproductive as it sounds tho as I was wrapping prezzies & sorting thru the junk & other mail while tv surfing :p

Big hugs to all of us! Thinking of you all, especially those of you who are worrying about more than how to finish of shopping for pressies and how to squeeze the wrapping in around the house work and last minutes runs to the supermarket... :A

Number 6 today. Almost got my lovely, cozy wearable sleeping bag today but the 5.30 post office closure recoerded online turned into a tiny little sticker on the shope door saying closed 2pm when I got there ...at 2.15pm! D'oh!!!

Nipped into the charity shop so as not to waste the journey but managed to resist for now! (Only because the top I tried on was slightly too big and the stitching was coming lose. I sensible reminded myself it would just be added to the ever growing pile of alterations I've never got around to doing! And I never did manage to finish my dress in dressmaking class either so I need to step away from the clothes buying for now!!!)

Oh dear beanie, hope you are ok - unless you purposfully put the slippy bits down, I don't think it was your own fault. We've been lucky with the weather here but last week when it was icy, I was rather mad at councils for not gritting, or leaving any salt bins for pavements. I totally understand the roads need to be gritted for the safety of drivers, but what about the poor souls slip sliding on the pavments, who then get forced to walk in the roads cos dodging cars is the safer option....sorry....rant over!

Bit of a spendy one today, though on balance perhaps not toooo bad.... was going to look at a cross trainer earlier with OH to replace the one we have but think someone was feeling a bit delicate after his work do last night, so that got knocked on the head. Popped into town to get a few bits and came out with

Thread to sew all 4 buttons back on my coat where they have fallen off and pom pom for a Rudolph nose = Sewing shop £1.45
    Additional lights for our 3 1/2' Mr A pre-lit tree... pre-lit verging on trade descriptions = Mr W £6.93
12 x 2nd class stamps £4 (ish) ...its now prob cost as much to post the cards as buy all the s*dding things
Few bits in S*vers £3 (ish)
    Apples from the market £1.50

Oh, and a Swan Lake story book from a book shop that is closing £2.40 - which was a bargain. It's actually for my mum for Xmas - even though it's a kids book, it's got some beautiful illustrations and I thought she might like it after the ballet we went to.

So, all in all I spent about £20 - which on balance isn't tooooo bad for me. Nearly got some bits for lunches this week, then realised I'm away with work wed -fri, so only need to rustle up things for two days and I have plenty of pasta and things to do that with, so that saved on food :T (normally I'd have bought without thinking so I'm quite chuffed with myself over that one).

Sorry for the long post guys.... you must all be asleep by now :o
