Jinty - glad to hear you might finally get to see your road again, that's awful though that people had to actually pay someone to clear it

Well fiddlesticks! I planned to get petrol tonight as I would be heading past the cheap petrol station (5p per ltr less than in my town) so I popped to Mr S at lunchtime and bought some quiche, bagels, spiced muffins (the savoury kind that you toast), and some pitta bread that was whoopsied - all came to £6 ish. nothing I desparately needed, but made the mistake of going when I was hungry and assumed it would be a spendy day anyway....except....when it got to the petrol station this evening they were just about to have a delivery and there was no unleaded left - so I came away sans petrol - so I wasted a NSD :mad::mad: Oh I must get back on this wagon - keep falling off this month. Still, I am away with work for 3 days next week, so I do have a chance of still making my target this month still ....:o think I need some snow to curb my spending - oh and tomorrow won't be a NSD cos I MUST order my mum's xmas present from Amaz0n to get triple nectar points (been tracking the price of an item this week as they tend to go up/down a bit - tomorrow is the last day for x3 points) HELP!

Hi everyone - can I join you. I'm afraid I've found you rather late into the month, but thought I would start now, rather than waiting until January.

I thought I'd try for 10 NSDs and up the amount when I do a full month in Jan.

Have also signed up for the Sealed Pot Challenge so between the two will hopefully save quite a bit.

:hello:Hi emiliah and welcome to the lunacy that is the NSD thread. It's never to late to join in the fun here:D

I'll add you to the front page now. Best advice is probably to keep posting, you'll get lots of encouragement from everyone, a :j when you get an NSD and a prize when you get your total (see front page). What more could you want?:D

Good luck with getting your 10, you can do it:T

Made it into town this morning, went to £land and got all my wrap and gift bags etc.
I also got a nice necklace in B**TS for my Mum and it was half price and I paid for it with points - result.
So - here's the dilemma - the wrap and gift bags were planned spends and I didnt buy anything else (with money), so is it a NSD or not ?
    I await your thoughts!;)

NSD jinty, I reckon, it's the least you deserve for living in the arctic at the moment;)

  • Good morning everyone!

Well ... yesterday and the day before brought me 2 more NSDs meaning I've smashed my personal best in the mini challange and I've got off to my best ever start to a month ... (drum roll) ... with a NSD everyday so far I'm up to 9 NSDs in total and 9 NSDs in a row in the mini challenge!! :j

To be honest, my success is due to being so busy with work, that I haven't had time to spend yet this month! However, a food shop is now well overdue and I've got b'day pressies to buy for later this month, so I'm going to have to break my run soon ... I'm going to see if I can hold out spending until Sunday!

Welcome to the thread emiliah, and good luck to everyone ... for those who are snow bound, it looks like the thaw is about to start so fingers crossed that you'll be freed soon!
