Well, you've met another one here.....

    They're yummy scrummy things :D

At Christmas I have them stoned, then stuffed with marzipan (which gets rolled into a sausage shape and then in hundred and thousands before being cut into 'date length' pieces and being inserted).

That sounds amazing!!! I LOVE marzipan and I too eat dates all year round!! :)

Pleased to report NSD 2 yesterday as I was a little poorly!! Spendy today though :(
    Just keep swimming

Major bummer. Today i was heading to the supermarket and driving across a very busy cross roads and got two flat tyres. Last week i had one as well, what the hell is it about my car and blooming tyres?

I called the garage who sent someone out...i was freezing my !!! off waiting for them for about half an hour, but when the mechanic got to me he jacked both front wheels up, took the wheels off and drove me back to the garage where i waited while they sorted out 2 new tyres and fitted them and drove my car back to the garage.

I was billed £140...BUT spoke to mum on phone and she and dad are going to give me £100 and this morning my uncle gave me £50 and told myself to buy myself something for Christmas....so technically it is still an NSD. CARS!!!

Thanks Cheryl and Spoony, I don't go often enough to the florist to ask for paper :) but visited Eb0y and ordered some (17 pence per metre), got some rafia paper. Will post pictures once I have finished them in the hampers thread. Off soon to Taste of Christmas in London

Ohhh...I love those christmas shows - went to Spirit of Christmas once and it smelled of cinnamon and Xmas spice...yummy! Hope you have/had a fab time

Just an update re the rude neighbours - the husband caught me when I was going out with the dog and apologised and said they had been caught unawares and appreciated me ringing their bell. I think the story on the news re that poor elderly couple in Cumbria hit home with them as he said - "it's nice to know that there's people here that care about the older folks". Feel a bit better now!;)
OH is on a plane home! Thank goodness, I've been worrying all day about him getting home!:)

Glad OH is on his way home (he'd better remember B&M though :rotfl:). Good to hear your neighbour popped round to apologise too - hey if someone popped round to see if I needed anything I'd be tempted to hand over my week's shopping list....and I'm 'only' 31 :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Well Spoony - looks like I'm headed for more kippers :o yesterday was spendy (car was in need of petrol) and today has deff been spendy - spent £30 on a leotard that I didn't really need but it's ltd edn and will look fab for future performances/photo shoots so treated myself, also am about to buy Mum's Xmas present and order the Turkey for xmas dinner....still I have also bought the rest of my friends present via vouchers and that's most of my xmas shopping done. Tomorrow will be spendy too as we're going out for dinner with friends - but I do have 2 Pizza/Pasta for £10 vouchers so food bill will be kept in MSE shape :T

Jints - well done for getting the xmas cards written - I'm 1/2 way through mine and got stamps today so must get those posted and away.

Snow round here not too bad - just lots of ice - our very twisty and turny but very flat road is doing a wonderful impression of an ice rink.
