Chris - hehe, that made me giggle.

Glad it brough a few smiles! Jinty - I find different smilies on g00gle images, then to add them to my post I click on the "Insert Image" button when replying to the thread, and in the new window that pops up I enter the web address of the image. BTW the "Insert Image" button is the lil square one the looks like 2 mountains with a moon/sun just over them. Glad that the humbug neighbours apologised and that your OH got a plane home!

    Have a good Saturday everyone!

    Good morning everyone,

OH got home eventually last night, so I am mightily relieved!
As he's a more confident driver than me, we're off to MrA today to stock up a bit. We're taking my Mum too. How pathetic am I - I feel rather excited by the prospect of an outing after being confined for days!
So it wont be a NSD today, but I've saved a fortune this week - still have most of the HK from last week.

Chris thanks for the instructions re smilies - Im off to practise!

    Have a lovely day everyone:)

Just an update re the rude neighbours - the husband caught me when I was going out with the dog and apologised and said they had been caught unawares and appreciated me ringing their bell. I think the story on the news re that poor elderly couple in Cumbria hit home with them as he said - "it's nice to know that there's people here that care about the older folks". Feel a bit better now!;)
OH is on a plane home! Thank goodness, I've been worrying all day about him getting home!:)

It's nice they said sorry Jinty, another new friend perhaps? Also glad your hubby got home ok. Enjoy your day out.
not sure if today is a nsd or not, ive ordered something online but my mum owes me the money for it as its my xmas gift from her lol

Definately not a spendy day then mummy. :j

I had another spendy day yesterday, all the running around for DD meant that my petrol was very low yesterday instead of today and I had to fill up a day early. Today I'm going to the taste of Xmas at Excel just up the road from where I live. Not taking the credit cards.

    Have a good one all

Ohhh...I love those christmas shows - went to Spirit of Christmas once and it smelled of cinnamon and Xmas spice...yummy! Hope you have/had a fab time

No much cinnamon smell around or Father Christmases in the alley but had a very good time. Found quite a few interesting bits for my Christmas hampers within the budget (chocolate wine, chocolates but I am keeping the ones dipped in Sauternes). Tasted lots of very interesting drinks. Got really excited when I saw the Ph1ll1ps hot air fr1er (was really interested in it but at £200 was thinking of collecting all my vouchers for a while and then get one), .... well what a disappointment to taste the chips. We don't do many at home and buy the chunky ones for the oven, we'll carry on doing this and spend the money on something else.

Hoping for an NSD today, need to go out to pick up items on behalf of family thus no spend for me; will confirm later.

Jinty happy to read about your neighbour

    No snow left :j
