Hello to all the newbies, may the lunacy begin. Hi to all the regs, you know what to expect. Thanks to Spoony for keeping us in order. Boy we need it.
Sorry if rambling, just got in from a night out in Soho. God knows how my fella will get home as we were having to go really slowly all the way back to mine as the snow is falling thick and fast.
Very low spend today £1 worth of onions and a £1.30 train fare, but a spend day all the same. Think I may not be going out tomorrow so hoping for the first one then.
Be careful out there folks.0 -
Good morning me old chums!
Well, I woke up at 5.30 and looked out of the window and guess what? It was snowing AGAIN! It's been snowing steadily for the past hour:(
OH got to London eventually. Got on a train at 12.30 yesterday, arrived at Kings Cross at 7.30 - his language was unrepeatable! Like you say, Kerri, he'll just be turning around again tomorrow to come home.
Turns out it was his site manager and not the firm who vetoed getting the train earlier in the week as he has a "phobia" about trains and wont travel on them:mad::mad::mad: That was why OH and the rest of the guys had to hang about until the manager gave in when he realised there was no alternative.
I'm afraid today will not be an NSD, as despited being snowed in, Ive managed to spend already! Pets at Home has a one day offer on doglets favourite food which expires at 9am today. It was too good to pass up, so I went ahead and ordered! I used Qu!dco so I got cashback. It may be a spend, but it's a MSE type spend:rotfl:
Staying indoors apart from walking doglet
Have a lovely day everyone:)
you will always be rich enough to be generous.0 -

Sounds lovely! Can picture the sparkly stars & wintery moon..idyllic! I know it's a pain getting up with Pup but I've seen some truly breath-taking spectaculars in the process. Ain't Nature a wunnerfool thang *sigh*
OK. Business time! I'll go for 14 please, as I know there's two lots of flowers I need to get this month & at this time of year the shop doesn't know how much they'll be until almost the day I pick them up. The fresh stuff will need to be got in too of course & dependent on whether I get this flippin meat by the end of this week, that would make another trip to weekend markets or no. I'll need to go out without muvva at least once for obvious reasons & what's the betting we'll run out of stamps  **ANYONE KNOW IF SUP4DRUG ARE DOING THEIR USUAL OFFER ON POSTAGE STAMPS AGAIN PLEASE?** So Yep. I'm happy to try 14 to begin with & others have said, any extra will be a most welcome bonus.
hi walked pasted them the other day and they were still advertising.Looking to a brighter happier future
Nectar reward card= £6.08, Budget Card Savings =£50.00, Tesco Saving stamps= £20.00, Sealed Pot =??not opening yet.:):xmastree:0 -

No1 Offspring has a couple of days holiday to use up so I was looking forward to a nice, warm lie-in this morning. Still woke before the usual alarm time [why do you do that on the days you DON'T have to get up, but sleep thru it on the days you do :wall:] & had the local news & weather on the radio. They said we'd had between 8 & 10" of snow during the night with more forecast, so I HAD to jump out of bed & investigate. Anything up to 3cm is drastic around here so I was imagining us cutting an oblong to get out the door, like on the cartoons :rotfl:Obviously it's not quite that bad but where the four cars were parked last night, there's now a lovely snow-bank fit for the most energetic penguins to fashion a helter skelter *enter appropriate smilie here as poota is refusing to work any faster than a lorry on the M25*
During all the excitement of the white stuff, the more important business of opening the Advent calendar was forgotten yesterday, so 2 of the Offspring will be lucky this morning with a chocolate for breakfast. I have only ever bought one calendar & they draw lots to see who goes first etc & the picture & decoration is proudly paraded for all to see before being savouredA silly tradition maybe, but I'm so pleased they are happy to indulge their old mum now they're into adulthood
Anyhoo..nsd No1 has been safely gathered in against the weather & here's hoping you all stay safe & well too x
