Jinty - glad your OH got off ok, though by the time he gets down to the big smoke, it will be time to turn around and come back for the weekend nearly - beggers belief his office didn't rearrange something sooner. Haven't forgotten your PM btw, will dig that out for you :)

Cheryl - I think if I was to get snowed in somewhere, yours would be the house of choice - I'm sure you could keep us all fed and watered until the summer....Spoony, keep the Tardis on standby just in case :rotfl:

Well its actually very odd with all this talk of snow cos there is none, nada, nowt where I am in chilly Berkshire - and for all the talk of deliveries etc being affected, the supermarket seemed very well stocked tonight (enough for us to spend £111 on groceries ) monthly shop did however include a massive box of dishwasher tablets that will prob last us to the summer (not kidding, my mum bought me a box that size last Dec and it lasted yonks), plus a big bottle of laundry liquid, and a big box of tea bags (which won't last as long as we both drink buckets of the stuff), add 3 bottles of wine for £10 (but all normally £6 - £7) and it all adds us. Still, that's our last big shop before xmas - just some xmas nibbles to get nearer the time and xmas dinner (though I have some bits in the freezer already)

Grocery spend came from house budget soooo....drum roll.... I can declare 1 NSD! No kippers for me yet Spoony - I still have some of the Nov ones hanging in the shed - pheeewwwwyyyy! smells almost as bad as something Hubert did last night after one too many deep fried mars bars :rotfl:

Yes, welcome back Peaches and glad your little one has settled into a good routine so early on .............. oh, and that you have settled back into NSDing so quickly too, as I see you got your first NSd today :T

It was NSD NUMBER 1 for me too today - blizzards most of day so no way I was going out - unfortunately that meant no-one could visit Mam today at the care home either :(

Are you close enough to wander over the Forth Road Bridge Beanielou? I was watching the newsman in envy! I really wanted to run about on it! When will we ever get the chance again! It's always clogged! (Does hit home just how bad it'll be when they eventually can't use it any more though!)

Jinty - glad you're no longer stuck in Groundhog Day!
Nargle - If I was in charge, I would make hibernation law! Or at least I would allow people to opt in to hibernation if they are so inclined. There's probably be a couple of mad folk left to keep the country ticking over while the rest of us slept and stayed warm!
Peaces - wee, teeny hugs to Isobelle for us. Do let her know what a fabulous prize she'll get if she makes 31 NSDs in a row :D
3Dogs - excellent to hear you mam was laughing and eating well today. :j

No NSD for me - but I knew that. Completed the last of my christmas shopping and got myself some new yoga gear (I'd say gym gear, but I've kinda pushed the gym out of my mind ;)). Which is actually much more MSE of me than it sounds as I was hoping to buy myself a wee pressie (Inland Revenue cheque) and did see some lovely dresses, but I just wasn't fussed enough to bother buying them. Maybe I'm finally learning! :D :money:
Tomorrow won't be either as I've a late meeting (if it's not snowed off) and will need to get dinner but won't be anywhere with facilities to heat anything - and I'm not doing a 12 hour shift with no hot food in this weather!

Fingers crossed I can get the first in on Friday though.

    Hi lovely NSD gang
Wow.. 5 pages already and it’s still only the 1st of December... you chatty lot. Going to do a very quick roundup of you all otherwise I’ll be here until next week (by which time there will be 15 pages to catch up on..)

A very warm welcome to all our newbies signing up this month, new people are always welcome to join, we’re a a very friendly, if slightly insane, bunch and a surreal sense of humour definitely helps. We are, however, very serious in our aim to cut down on our spending and are happy to give advice/tips/hints so please ask if you’re not sure about anything. Everyone seems to have more success if they post regularly on here and join in the chat - not sure why, but it seems to work, so please feel free to join in

So welcome and good luck to:
:hello:castri09: signing you up for 10 now, don’t worry we’ll give you loads of encouragement not to spend
