This worries me as it's exactly what's happening here, and it needed 2 powerflushes, a pump, an enormous bill and a new boiler!!

plc hasn't got to fit a new boiler and nor has anyone else - nothing wrong with existing one. User pursuing plc for recovery of some of their costs expended on unecessary work. Don't think they'll win though.

Hi, was just coming to update.

Well.... The guy came round, checked the pump and said it was fine, said it was unlikely that there was any blockages anywhere. He balanced the radiators, which does seem to have made a difference, it's certainly hotter. He suggested I replace the room stat as it was clicking on at 12 degrees but it was clearly hotter than that after an hour or so.

I think the fact that it's minus 8 outside and I don't have cavity wall insulation doesn't help. I've rang e-on and they are sending someone round to do insulation at a reduced price, so will leave it until that happens to see if a difference is made
