Am I missing something here? 12 month contract, 12 months free, free handset.
Only potential hidden cost/smallprint I can see is that the free minutes etc don't seem to click in until 3 months has gone - presumabley they hope to make money during this time in call charges.
I have a !!!!!! work phone, and sim card - I could just stick my sim in the new phone and use it, then after 3 months start to use my free minutes couldn't I? Or even get it free and just sell it on e-bay, probably get at least £50 for the phone, maybe more.
Thanks, maybe there is such a thing as a free lunch????:T

Not sure how you can work round this if you are an existing 3 customer, I'm going to have to change my number and text everyone.
What I have done twice with 3 is cancel your contract but ask for your number to be switched to pay as you go then leave an ansaphone message with your new telephone number on the phone.
I last did this in March and still got a call this week from someone who had rung my old number and got the new one.

l ordered the sony k610i last night and today they thanked me for placing the order but need to speak to me about something, they havent got back yet. i hope they dont try to put me on the 11month deal, still good deal though but id rather the 12months free.

I got an email asking me to contact customer services, I called and the person I talked to said he didn't know why the order hadn't gone through. I just confirmed the details and the order went straight through. Probably some system problem, my gf's order went through ok. Both phones arrived this morning.

Not heard that before, inclusive calls starting after 3 months! The inclusive call allowance starts as soon as you are connected.
  • Just signed up for one for Mrs chalky_bertie. She is a very light user but likes the phone and with 12 months free was ideal. At least now we can see each other when we speak using the video calling. Thought about getting one myself but will wait and see what Vodafone will offer me in the next couple of weeks.

When checking the order at the end just before i committed I noticed that I had Mrs down as Ms and so clicked on "change" button but a pop-up box appeared and offered me a FREE Bluetooth Headset if i completed so got that aswell.

Just used QUIDCO for the first time (I HOPE) so will also be better £36.50 better off.

Yes I got the thing wrong about free mins - they start straight away.
As for small print, and how they do cashback, there was nothing of that until I completed the order. Not bothered though, my missus is organised enough to ensure we do everything on time to get the money back. And I signed up to quidco, so quids in - thanks for the link :)
  • my quidco tracked within 20 minutes. jus tmake sure you clear your cookie everything you go through quidco.

went for it as it seemed a no brainer. didn't wangle a BT headset tho and hope it isn't the girly red one. don't quite understand:

"A further credit of £118.00 will be raised automatically by cheque within 2 months if you do not cancel your contract. You will receive a text message when this credit has been successfully raised."

will this just arrive after 2 months or do i need to do anything?

    Thanks

    R.
