Hi
I'm at work and won't be able to do this for myself. But, has anyone worked out if the TSV mentioned above is good value?
I know they usually are but I would like to check
many thanks
Hi Peem
I have ordered the TSV i think they were quoting it at £1.20 (ish) a piece +p&p. TBH i think the larger items on their own are worth it for the price, the little tubs etc are just an added bonus.
lil
Edit: just worked it out at £1.52 each piece delivered - thats very good value0 -
I was just wondering if anyone knew how well things like chopped pineapple and melon keep in lock and lock containers?
I am following slimming world at the moment and it would be easier to keep these chopped up in lock and lock in the fridge but an a little worried about how well they will keep.
If the melon is not over-ripe when it goes in, I can get 4 days out of a canteloupe easily (if I don't scoff it all first) but just to make sure it doesn't go bad too quickly I put a few tablespoons of cranberry juice or diluted blackcurrant squash in the box then slosh it all round.
I have also discovered that if I separate the leaves and wash romaine lettuce or savoy cabbage, they stay fresh in the big box with a handle for 2 weeks!
I couldn't cope without my Lock and Locks. The Tesco ones aren't very good, I bought some and even though it says they are dishwasher safe, the lids wouldn't fit without a huge struggle afterwards so now I only buy the real thing.0 -

Hi Peem,
I haven't priced them all up individually on the Lakeland website,
but a 1.1 litre L&L Fridge Jug costs £8.99 (The one in the TSV is a 2 litre size.)
a 5.5 litre box is £7.99 (the TSV is a 6.5L)
470ml = £1.79 each (there are 2 in the TSV)
So just pricing up those 4 similar items alone (but smaller sizes) from Lakeland costs £20.56!!
The TSV has 15 pieces in total for £17.30 but you have to factor in the P+P charges (£5.45) and if you would really use all the sizes.
HTH.
Anyway, I've gone for it!Ageing is a privilege not everyone gets.

I have not bought them before but you all have inspired me ! I bjust bought a 24 peiece set which seemed really good value. It is the same as the specail offer one ( in the different colours ) but you dont get the jug etc .Here is the link here and if you buy just the 12 piece single set it is £15.00 plus £5.95 postage however if you select double for the size you get two sets ( 24 pieces ) for £25 plus £5.95 postage .I dont need the jug so this seemed a good deal with all the postage costs included. Here it what you would get with the double set which seems a good deal for £30.95 delivered plus good size boxes.0

I already have that set Cat!
Kept one set for me and gave the other to my Mum - it was actually the last TSV.
I hope you will be pleased with them.Ageing is a privilege not everyone gets.

Even the 5 piece kitchen set for £13.45 delivered is great value!
I'm trying to decide which set to go for. I want some round ones"Finish each day And be done with it.

My tubs all arrived on tuesday and are great.
They're all useful sizes. Thanks guys for advising me on the costs. Really gonna help me keep things neat and tidy. (well, that's the plan!)"You can't get a cup of tea big enough or a book long enough to suit me." - C.S. Lewis0 -
I have them, I use them to store everything, and buy a couple everytime I see them, they are miles better than anything else.

I ordered the Today's special value from QVC last week. It is very good for the money compared to what Lock and Lock costs elsewhere. It was delivered today and I'm really pleased with it. You can only get the sets with coloured lids from QVC I think, and I really like them.
I would thoroughly recommend this product to Old Stylers - my fridge is full of bits and bobs in Lock and Lock, and I'm gradually organising my store cupboard using my faithful plastic boxes.
I may be getting to be a bit of an addict, but I've still got more things to containerise!!0
