The cashback is a separate offer that adds to the welcome bonus & comes from the cashback sites referral commission.

    Getpoundsback is £82.40 cashback
    Topcashback is £80.80 cashback

If you earned over £30 last month on TCB, then you would be better off with them otherwise GPB has the best rate
Both have no admin fee to worry about

Quidco is £80 with £5 admin annual fee

I don't know about Getpoundsback, but if I recall correctly both Quidco and TCB have a 'Highest Cashback guarantee' if you wanted to put your transactions through one particular cashback company.

Also, if you have a Egg card, you can sign up to Quidco via them and avoid their £5 fee..

    Regards
    Sunil
  • Just to advise people - the confirmation email comes from edfenergypartners.co.uk and so MIGHT end up in your spam folder. It doesn't mean your application has not gone through as it should.

Well over 24 hours since my transaction and nothing tracked for me yet on Quidco. Did people have to wait longer than this?

I went for the £80 with Quidco because I thought they were more reliable than TCB where I also have an account (and who were offering £80.80).

Just wish it would show the £80 as tracked. I realise validation is a long way off but have never had a problem with tracking before.

You want to be careful about phoning them. Might invalidate Quidco.

Looking at my transaction history it shows as tracked on 8/10/10 which was the date I applied. I can't say for sure that this means it showed that same day on Quidco.

I imagine it may take a day or so.
  • I applied earlier today, the Quidco cashback has already tracked but I've not yet received my welcome email. Fingers crossed they have received everything!!

I'm also with SP and hope they will not apply the exit charges as I am still with SP for a few weeks yet.

I did ponder for a while how much bills may be raised by after March but with the exceptional cashback on offer it was a no-brainer in the end.

That's what I was getting at.....lots of people showing it "Tracked" a few hours after the event. :(

Check your SPAM folder for the welcome email as it comes from a strange email address.

What gets me is that of the many transactions I have done over November, every single one has tracked within a few hours - some much sooner. And we are talking dozens and dozens.

Yet the ONE transaction that is worth more than all of them put together does not show as tracked. Just typical.

I cleared all cookies and cache, clicked via the Quidco link and so the application page loaded from the Quidco. The application had no problems whatsoever, I got my confirmation email straight away and so reason at all for the transaction not to show as tracked.

Still early days but can't help but feel it won't track now without me chasing it up.
  • In the midst of yet more price rises it comes as a change to see some of the utilities suppliers record profits trickle down to the level of us mere mortals.

Thanks for the tip - I can confirm they have extended the offer for now, although I don't know for how long...

I would like to stress that the standing charge does need to be considered as if you are like myself, I rarely use any gas at all during the summer months so have found it cheaper to split providers - still gaining £75 cash-back with EDF plus the £17.50 from moneysupermarket then an additional £15 from switching my gas with energyhelpline.

    Thanks alot Guy!

Was initially interested in this but it works out £80 a year more expensive for me than my current tariff (EON Saveonline 2). Plus there are cancellation charges if you switch before 31/12/11. I know EDF have promised to hold off increases till spring but you can bet there'll be substantial rises on this tariff next year.
  • According to MSE weekly email, this deal is still on:
Sign up to EDF's cheap online saver 7* tariff and 90 days after you've switched you get £100 credit. Due to end yesterday, it has been extended, yet insiders say it may be pulled any moment. Yet DON'T just switch to it, whether it's cheapest depends on your usage and postcode, always do a comparison to see how it stacks up (gets you extra cashback too, apart from Londoners who should go direct).

Keeping our fingers crossed that we can still get this deal next Thursday when we complete on our new house - we can't start the switch any earlier :-(
