    "Mac...Keeping stupid people safe"

just love this, made me smile :D
    Drop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
    10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
    20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)
  • though I'm not convinced "Mac...Keeping stupid people safe" is a good sales slogan.

    Aw bless; :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I wouldn't know - I left all that behind years ago. If it means I'm the stupid one - then go figure.....:D
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.
  • The problem with Mac is that new software and really old software is compatability issues and also getting help and support from companies once you mention a mac they say contact apple dead end u mention you got windows they say oh right how can I help they are familar with it.

If you buy a new Mac and new software then there will be no compatability issues. PowerPC based Mac havent been made for a while now so there is no new software for them so there should be no problems
Smile and be happy, things can usually get worse!

    I wouldn't like to suggest you're stupid :)
I would, however, suggest that if the primary reason for buying mac over windows PC (not mac vs PC because macs are[/] PCs) is because "PCs get viruses all the time" then there is some ignorance involved.
Buy one because you like the look of it, buy one because you like the interface, buy one because you look good in courderoy, but never because "PCs get viruses and they're always crashing" because those are the arguments of fools, as we all well know :p

You must have spent so much time writing that. I'm guessing you're single?

Guessed wrong, and its only 10 lines didn't take hardly any time.

I got Snow Leopard OS (Which cost £25) for my Mac at the same time as my girlfriend got Windows 7 (Which cost around £45) for her PC.

This bit I still struggle to understand, and I have tried.
Apple software can only be installed on apple hardware..so they sell the machine and then sell the proprietary OS separately? I do understand it was a software upgrade, but I bought a Nvidia video card, I don't expect to EVER pay for software to make it work, as new software becomes available I have free access. I have a wii - recently new, proprietary, software was available for that..again, free as nintendo had provided the hardware (at a price) they continue to support it for no extra cost.
Microsoft do charge for new versions of windows..but that's what they sell, if they had a markup on the hardware they could possibly sell it cheaper, or give it away, a few £ on every PC built would soon add up but they don't.

As I said - there are advantages with both [you may have missed that bit in your rant at a humble dumba$$ mac user].....

One cannot help it if the thing doesn't crash, doesn't get any viruses or just 'works'.....it's just the way it is.

  • buy a pc then install os x on it, best of both worlds.
