Yes hope ther mammogram went ok Hippeechiq. I've never had one but have heard that they are uncomfortable.
I hada NSD day today. I went through my freezer & store cupboards Sunday & made a list of all the contents. I then sat down & made a meal planner for the next 9 days which I was quite proud of doing but have deviated from it already. I find them such a pain to do. I have to find out how many people I have for dinner each night as OH's boys come 5 out of 14 days but not always the same days, then consider whether I am working on that day & then what sports activities I have to take my son to. We were meant to have fish pie last night & the leftovers for the kids tonight but ran out of time yesterday so had it tonight & last night we had chicken curry instaed of chicken enchilada that we supposed to. Must try harder for the remainding 7 days!Grocery aim £450pm.Spent £519 August, £584 July, £544 June, £541 May, £549 April, £517 March, £517 Feb,£555 Jan, £573 Dec, £465Nov, £561Oct, £493Sept, £426Aug,£496 Jul, £528Jun, £506May,£498April, £558 March, £500Feb, £500 Jan, £490 Dec, £555 Nov,£566 Oct, £505Sept, £450Aug, £410 July, £437 June, £491 May, £471 April, £440 March, £552Feb, £462Jan0 -

I agree, the internet is not always our friend! I've stopped going on ebay and have clicked most of the sales emails into my junk folder - it doesn't even feel like spending just the click of a button!
I've almost spent my alcohol budget for Boxing Day, I've done some extra work over the last couple of weeks so have managed my Christmas food and alcohol out of that (well I'm hoping so I haven't bought the ingrediants for the hot buffet yet). DD sent me a message from Uni asking for Amerett0. Does anyone know where the best place to buy it is? Never bought it before.0 -
Hippeechic I noticed on Mysupermarket that Tesco Ultraslim is currently £3.00 per tin and will be so until Feb 11.
The strawberry one is for 12 servings but the chocolate one is 8 servings only. Have never tried it, but I thought I would get a tin of each to see what my ds thinks of it. If he likes it I shall be bulk buying.Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

Have you tried some oats (add some essential oils too if u want) wrapped in a muslin (or muslim, i always get that wrong!) and either tie it to your taps so the water runs through it, or add straight to the bath whilst filling up, this makes the water a bit creamy and is brilliant for the skin, u can then use the 'bag' as a sponge and get washed with it, its lovely (oooh i sooo want my bath back! only got a shower in here)
I agree, that IS lovely, also if you dont have muslin, you can use a popsock ( kneehigh sock, sorry showing my age there!:rotfl:) or cut a bit off old tights to put the oats in. HTH:)
you will always be rich enough to be generous.0 -

This will cover all the extra bits and pieces for Christmas and also any hamper fillers such as choccies and stuff that i buy from the supermarket whilst we are there.
I`m off to catch up with 483 emails _pale_ fingers crossed that most are junk and don`t actually need to be read!

Good morning
I had a T*sco delivery yesterday and I'm now up to £258.78/£450.
Time to take stock so I'm going to cancel next weeks veg box and try and run down the soup lake in my freezer! I'm having a cooking day today, making spag bol, shepherd's pie and nut and veg loaf for the freezer (oh - perhaps I won't be emptying it !) Maybe some bread as well.
I do need to buy fruit and a sliced loaf today though.
Had a shock yesterday when I saw that the T-bags I usually buy in the C*-op (Fairtrade 240) had gone up from £3.25 to £4.50!!
This is the sort of thing that worries me.
I know it's still a cheap drink at less than 2p per cup but I hate price jumps...what's next??
Anyway I found a box of 80 for £1 in Tesco but I prefer to buy fairtrade - They'll probably be on offer at some point.
Have a good day.
August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.0
