Adding on £1.49 for today. Got some milk and crackers (for cheese!) in Lidl. The crackers were BOGOF so I got a box for myself and one for my sister and have split the price for the purposes of this challenge.
Also, forgot I spent £1 in Asda on Saturday, so that's been added on too.Grocery challenge - Nov: £52/£100

I'll pop round for tea and cakes when I arrive jintyb :rotfl:
You'd be very welcome, I'll put the kettle on! :rotfl: hope you enjoy your break here. The Winter Wonderland is on in Princes Street Gardens, funfair, big wheel etc and there is a Christmas Market with lots of gluwein (sp?). With all the snow we've had it looks very picturesque!
Joking aside, I'm getting my clothes packed now, and am looking forward to some relaxation. I'll see you all (and no doubt spend an hour catching up on posts), when I get back.
Pack something warm - it's a wee bit chilly ATM!

Hello everyone, I've not been on in a while. So far I'm up to £25.37 spent out of my smaller budget this month, and have everything I need until the beginning of next week, with a few exceptions; some bread I didn't think I needed yet but ran out so do, a pie for tea later in the week because they didn't have the kind I wanted when I was there on Saturday, and finally... an onion for tomorrow's tea that I didn't realise I needed until about five minutes ago! Have to go to the shop tomorrow night now, wouldn't care but I was there tonight picking up someone's Christmas present, could have done it then if I'd known!
That total also includes most of the ingredients for a big pan of bolognese sauce that I cooked on Saturday night, have 7 portions in the freezer and had the 8th for my dinner that night, with some spaghetti of course and garlic bread, and a bit (ok, a lot) of parmesan on top, mmm yummy. It took AGES to all cook down nicely and I didn't get fed until about 9pm! It smelled so nice too, I was cursing it up and down grumbling "Hurry up and cook dammit, I want to eat you!"0 -
Hi all,
Well so far i've spent £67.87 this included a big monthly stock cupboard shop and milk today as we ran out. That 12 pints in four day, quite good going for us!
Haven't bought any meat for xmas day or treats as were waiting till closer to the time. Our budget is more tighter than scrooges backside at the moment.
Came well under under in November which was good. got loads of washing powder it was on offer 2 x 25 washes of persil non bio for £6. Now considering a supposed 10 wash lasted us three weeks of constant washing of oh clothes, school clothes, fingers crossed this will me till february!
The freezers packed so were going to be eating out of that once again. Just made a huge pan of savoury mince. So i filled four margerine tubs with it and had easily enough left over for our tea today. So this i have 16 portions for us over the xmas period :T.
So just need to buy some cheap margerine to make quiches with for pack lnches and should be sorted for the week:D.
Right better go and sort some stuff out i.e budget for month etc0 -

I feel so naughty.
I went to stock up on the basics; bought a bag of spuds, tea bags and chopped toms for £2.21 and paid with a tenner. But when I put the change back into my budget at home, there was an extra fiver in the change!Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0
