Emailing Harrods repeatedly probably won't do much good; letters get more attention.
I think people who want a decent explanation and/or their goods might have to take this further i.e., go to a consumer affairs group. I don't entirely believe the out-of-stock excuse for some items -- I know for certain that the ones I ordered are in stock.
I think you need to get over yourself! There are sub zero temperatures outside, people are struggling with losing their jobs and spiralling debts a few weeks before Christmas, and all you are bothered about is whether Harrods will honour a code that was not intended for mass use?
If you have enough spare time to pursue this, could I suggest that you use that time more constructively and volunteer at a homeless shelter over Christmas?Gone ... or have I?0 -

Why don't you spend a little more time in homeless shelters instead of the countless hours you spend on this forum being a 'plastic plod wannabee mod'
Jeez you're a pompous tw*t0 -

I received this email on 30/11/2010 @ 11:04am.Thank you for your recent enquiry. This has been passed to a member of the Harrods Direct Customer Service team, who will respond to you within 24 hours.
If as a business you are going to quote precise response times then I think you need to keep to them!
I wonder if they'll dispatch my order that I've reqested to be cancelled....0 -

The plight of the homeless and the state of the world economy have no direct relevance to this incident of poor customer service from Harrods.
This thread was about the discount code and is now about unreceived orders and their lack of action/communication.
My position is that we have the right to complain if we are unhappy with the service and, in my opinion, a written complaint might be more effective.0 -
