    Morning

    Offering hugs to everyone.

No flying today, but a long drive, seems to be getting warner here, I 'think' I can see where the patio should be!!!

I catch up tonight when I get back, as Sunday is Christmas day here, but OH doesn't know it yet, it is a suprise!!, but he has just asked what I am defrosting as it seems large, I said chicken, it actually is a 3 bird roast, everything else is hidden about the kitchen.

    Please take care all

    Morning all

I ended my birthday scoffing mini eggs with DS1 and watching TV. AF decided to join the party, so nothing else got done. :(

Sorry I haven't replied to any facebook messages - need to borrow DS1's laptop later to have a look, as I'm not allowed to go one with my work laptop.

NN has just knocked on the door and asked if I need anything from the shops, so I've put in a milk order. :A DH is bringing bread back from town and we should be ok for everything else. Must defrost some meat to do tea, though.

It's thawing outside here, too, but temperatures not forecast to rise above 1 degree and it's likely to freeze again soon. I'll have a go at clearing the car tomorrow, in case I can get it safely off our street on Monday morning.

    Plan for today:
dailies (and clear some space in the kitchen)
    budgetting
    CC/present list
    work work
    internet shopping

I'm not out tonight as DS1 has been invited to an 18th birthday party, so have a good chance to get stuff done. Have a safe and warm day, everyone. x

    Morning all,

Starting to defrost here a little, woke to find water droplets on my doorstep instead of sheet ice which has filled me with joy this morning.

Am a bit annoyed tbh, I am waiting to find out if i can get my car. It has been locked in a shed in my dads yard during the snow and he has gone out on a shoot today. I just rang mum and offered her a ride to the supermarket and maybe a wonder round town, a light lunch etc just a chance to get out the house and now am waiting in limbo. Dad might have left a shed key, then again he might not, then if he has and we can get in, he might have parked his teleporter blocking my car in. Am super annoyed as am desperate to get out the house, I had a whinge at mum and am now feeling guilty cause tbh they where doing me a favour keeping my car out the snow. Plus, Dad was not to know I would want to get out today.

Oh well, will find out in a bit so I can plan my day then.

Loves, Hugs, Spoons and Hot drinks..

    Good morning.
Well I'm going to get on with some of my own extras today. Hubby has to work today as his mum can't get in to the shop (she's been snowed in-ish all week, and he told her just to stay home) and the kids are away at the local theatre group practicing for their Christmas show, so I should be able to get through some of the things I need to concentrate on.
Hope everyone is safe, warm and has a lovely day.
    xx

Pesty thing, lost my post again.

Toots, I do want to hear how your day was regardless of what else is going on. I hope whatever it was is sorted and you feel better now.
Greenbee, Hope things are better this morning. It is easy to tell yourself at the start that getting involved with someone who had fairly recently split with his wife wasn't going to be straightforward, but the reality can be so painful. It is especially painful when she blames it on you regardless of the actual facts of you not being involved pre split and her personal contribution to the breakdown. 'Wife Stealing Floozy' is what DHs XW refers to me as to the SSs - despite the reality. I try to laugh about it but it isn't funny really.
Kazw - enjoy your Christmas dinner, I take it it isnt long till you go?
Thifty - I laughed at your lists, and children who can read, I have the same problem this year. I dislike the thing on Amazon that says 'you bought this item on X date' as well which is not good with a medium sized boy leaning over your laptop.
AnW - hope you get the lights up safely

Going quietly stir crazy here, might force the boys to put their walking boots on and go for a walk over the fields and away from the slippery paths. Not sure how well I will cope though, and of course I am supposed to keep warm.

Plenty to be getting on with in the house, without using energy elsewhere. Dressed first, and then a bit more of the kitchen done I think. I just need to remove George form my lap first, and she really doesn't want to go....

ETA Dusty - is it just me or has the number of birds increased dramatically this week? I have always fed them but I have never seen so many small birds? Robins, various tits and finches. It has been lovely to watch them - although annoying when my fat ginger sits drinking their bowl of water with enthusiasm and pleasure.

Morning all. Snow's just about all gone and with a respectable 6 degrees C, there's unlikely to be any ice. I shall go food hunting today just in case it freezes up again tomorrow

Shan't bore anyone with details but I am not ashamed of anything I have done.

Hex I didn't mean to suggest anything other than that you have experience of a man with "baggage":o I'm very sorry if I have offended you, I wouldn't do that intentionally for the world.

greenbee how are things in the light of day?

As long as she doesn't view the birds as the meal to go with the water... I put food out Thursday, but had no takers. Will try again in a bit - must get dressed first. I'll also try to shift some of the half-defrosted ice outside the front door, before it freezes again.
