DP is home, hoping the slightly better if cold forecast for tomorrow will give the councils a chance to sort the roads, but to be fair I can't see it happening!

Boys activities start at 11.15 so that not too early a start, will have to defrost the car in the morning tho :( then as it's snowed today and I've not shovelled anything away today I best do that and get some salt down before it becomes lethal to get to the car. More snow forecast for next week and like soappie half expecting flood warnings next, anyone built an ark?

    See you all tomorrow xxx
One day I might be more organised...........

    Evening all

Only read back on the last couple of pages, so out of touch with current happenings here, apologies and hugs all round.

Could have done with DH here today to help rescue Dad's car. We dug it out of the snow and managed to get it the whole 1/4 mile home! It was a case of get it moved or know that it would be hit in these plunging temperatures. Thankfully some lads from college on a snow day helped.

Also managed to locate milk and bread for us all and a neighbour.

All in all a productive day where nothing got done :rotfl:

Still not managed to put the train lights up but tomorrow they WILL be up, as lots of you know DH always had them up on Dec 1st and it as my intention to do so on Weds but the snow put paid to that.

Ah well, I shall sleep well tonight.

Sorry folks not a great first week really:o Have been snowed in for 6 days and kids have undone the stuff I did so will have to do some of the tasks yet again before I scrub any more off. I will try and rope them in today so that we can get some stars.
I am determined to nag/encourage DH to go in the loft today so he can get cards, decs and some presents down so I can begin the wrapping. I have done the kids buying but want to wrap and check the present piles are about the same size so will get him to do this when they are safely tucked up tonight:D The eldest one can now read really well so I have had to be really careful about where I leave my notebook with the master present lists in:eek: Bloody phonics and good teachers:rotfl:

Hope all well I had forgotten how quickly thos thread moves and have not kept up at all but thanks for the welcome backs:A

Just tried to read back a week and have given up as kids are starting to annoy me already and it's only half past bloody seven:eek:
Greenbee big hug hope it all works out.
To those who are cold I hope you get heating sorted very soon.

The prospect of being stuck on the estate for a seventh day is not fun and I think I am going mildly insane:( May try and dig car out and get away on my own to test the main roads or am inclined to stay in and watch DH get wound up by the kids as I have done for the last 4 days. Think we both find it difficult when they are horrid to each other as we are both only children. Anyway I am rambling and kids are now moaning about food so better get my miserable carcass out of bed:)

    Morning all,
Hubby is down the lane putting some gravel down so that his mates can get up the lane. There all heading away this morning so i should be able to get on with the lists as long as kids allow. :D

DW already on and i'll go and load up the wm, then get the fire lit.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.
